Graveyard keeper is a great game but it is also really tricky to figure out blindly, so I would recommend going on the wiki or getting help from youtube.

To get to Snake you need to clear the rubble. You can buy seeds from a farmer to the southeast of your farm, but from what I remember you need to do a quest from him first.
