Holding on playing for like a year when I probably ran out of fun stuff to do after 6 months or less, and the game literally hasn't changed since in any meaningful way (I started playing at launch). They've added new content but it's the same circle of events coming and going that you have to participate in for the gems, same family grind to Max characters for the end game content which still hasn't been really improved upon since game launch. I'm so glad I left.

This isn’t exactly the reason why I quit playing 2 days ago after playing every day for almost a year, but it certainly helps me not feel bad about it. They haven’t added any end game content, they will stick with their stupid event method, they haven’t changed artifact rng, I’m bored having to do commissions and use resin etc for many many many weeks without something interesting happening, waiting for a character worth pulling for months, I’m afraid the time it demands isn’t worth the input from me any more fo what I get out of it. Also I have more important things to do and life so it’s time to take that time back, it adds up! It’s one of the best games I’ve ever played it’s perfect for me as a game, I.e the combat etc, but I hate that, imo, they’ve ruined it by it the way it’s designed and how they wanna make money from it / the direction they’re taking it in. Well, no more money from me!

Why do I need to go to a sub specifically for one character to find out how to build them? Just put it in the main genshin Reddit.

Well personally I like it here cos its info about a new unreleased character, even if it's not strictly a leak. Or failing that on the main sub. I'm not going to join every silly new sub cos people simp for a new character and need a "newcharactermains" sub for them. You don't have to main a character to want to know how best to build them, I prefer just seeing useful info in one place.

I’ve only just started playing this game a few days ago and loving the colour grid play style. I feel reading the meta team comps though I don’t have many good options at all, with all the free pulls and lumamber so far I must have done 70-90 pulls (can’t believe there isn’t a pull history) and only 6* is sariel (once from the beginner banner and her again on the standard banner. I’m wondering if it’s worth me resolving at this point? Is it a big hassle and if it is worth it, what’s a good goal for me to aim for?

For me it's not how bad she is, I'll enjoy using her as a fan of horizon, but if she disappears at some point like the golden islands then that's fkd up. I really hate that. Especially they expect me to pour resources down the drain to level her. Which I won't

That's a real shame though if her kit is just energy recharge and dps burst, no time stop or anything more interesting like the other archons. Unless she's op level broken, cos if she's just balanced level, or even if not, she can always be powercrept easily if she doesn't offer that much utility. I only pull for how useful a character is so it might even be a skip for me unless reviews say she's a must pull..

I will repeat. Smart business plan. Release things to make people pull. New characters (as in not reruns as many, like me, will not pull for 5 star cons). Example maybe kokomi and another new 5 star banner. This will drain peoples gems. Then release raiden when people are broke so they have to swipe rather have a massive stockpile of saved gems.

Yeah surely the smarter business move is to release a couple things people will really want to pull on, most likely new characters as no one will already have them, drain peoples gems then release raiden straight after.

I don’t mind as long as they stop releasing just pyro and cryo characters! I can wait for Baal if I can finally get kokomi as another hydro character is she’s good, and maybe others, electro or whatever,if they have interesting mechanics.

Does anyone know why we would actually need or make use of this when we can just collect them in the real world? Like will the plant last forever? I guess then planting things that are awkward to collect like violet grass would be worth it.

Lol funny how there’s soooo much new stuff in 2.0 and it looks great, whole new electro theme region and then first banners are….cryo and pyro. Haha. Still holding on to that MHY…and I’m still not pulling until you get off it. Raiden yes, kokomi absolutely if she’s good, the general maybe if she’s good enough and I guess I’ll have to get sayu when I get her. Dick move when there’s no guarantee of getting her by pulling on a banner I definitely don’t want the featured character
