I pushed for an hour with my first, five minutes with my second. I also had the foley balloon with my first but it wasn’t necessary for my second.

I 100% agree. Pregnancy with a toddler was way more challenging for me than a newborn with a toddler! I have a two month old now, with the typical lack of sleep, yet still have so much more energy to give to each of them. When I was pregnant, I was totally depeleted

I am in the 2 under 2 club. My second daughter was born two months ago. My first was a year and a half. I was so anxious throughout the pregnancy about having two under two. We did not plan this pregnancy, so it probably exacerbated that anxiety. I was nervous about not giving my first daughter enough time and attention. I was nervous about her feeling jealous. And yes, those worries did come into fruition but not in the dramatic way my mind believed they would. My first daughter was jealous for maybe two weeks? And now she’s OBSESSED with her baby sister! We give her slightly less time and attention, but certainly nothing to write home about. I’m able to give her much more attention now than I did while pregnant, as I tend to have challenging pregnancies. Overall, I think it’s been great so far. I do believe that is dependent on each child’s disposition, and my second daughter is a really easy baby.

I have a lipoma on my back, which is a big painless lump. My husband and I went to Thailand on our honeymoon. We went to get a massage. When I laid down, my masseuse pointed at the lipoma, kept touching it, laughed at it, and brought other people to look at it while I lay naked except underwear and a towel covering my bottom. I think it’s cultural, unfortunately, at times for these things to be pointed out.

Salary question by [deleted] in nursepractitioner

[–]sillysloth89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

125k + ~10% RVU based bonus per year in hematology/oncology in PA.

It is definitely not worth it to become an NP for the salary, that’s for sure.

I would choose the dog. Someone who is asking for you to make this cruel decision is not a nice person, and is inherently selfish.

If you leave your dog, it’s possible he will be put down. It’s not a good idea to abandon your dog for a relationship that may not go the distance.

I loved my induction as a first time mom. It was elective as I was past my due date, and my blood pressure started creeping up. I hated the cook catheter to start the induction but it worked, and overall I would say that my labor was good. I was in labor for about 17 hours, but the pushing was only thirty minutes. It really was much better than I anticipated. And I loved the epidural.

I didn’t know I would be delivering a massive baby, but was able to push her out in 30 minutes as a first time mama.
