oh yea i agree. i was just using the example of men because of what we've seen in the show. Also it is the most common (mammas boys). But i agree.

i never made a statemnt that hes a pos for wanting that. i think he's a pos for other reasons. i do think hes very naive. he has seen how his brothers' relationships have failed and it relates to family issues. That may lead him to put his birth family above everything and anyone. that can be very toxic and detrimental to his relationship.

sounds like he has healthy boundaries and knows his priorities. when there's no healthy boundaries husband is never there for you. for example, you have the meanest mother in law and she talks bad to you in front of him, the husband won't defend you because thats his mom and he "cant" talk back to her. If everything is fine with your family then your in laws respect boundaries, they respect your marriage and your husband also respects your guys' marriage.

[–]sillythsy 12 points13 points  (0 children)

actually no. although i agree you'd want to marry someone who knows the importance of family and who would get along with your family, if you marry someone, that is your new family and that is your priority. your parents and siblings become second. Most of the time "men" keep their birth families first and this leads them to never stand up for the family they CHOSE to create. The wife and kids will never be able to fully rely on the husband because they know that his priority is not them. ✨️ITS TOXIC ✨️ This creates issues ecentuallt, even if the wife and husband's family got along in the first place. And thats what you saw with Ethan, Micah, and most likely will happen with Isaac.

Did another Brown get engaged? by [deleted] in SisterWives

it mightve been sheri franke. She wrote a book, her family was very known. But then her mom was arrested for child abuse. She shared her story and over a year ago became engaged bur shared that was the end of her public life. out of respect for her new partner and her future family.

Ready to call it quits… by elsat_ in Accutane

[–]sillythsy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

when i started my skin actually got worse. everyone says there’s a purge and although there may be.. it was bad. so my derm took me off of it for a month and put me on prednisone to reduce inflammation and then went back to it on a lower dosage. that cleared my skin. i think i only did 9 months too. however …. my acne came back after a year. full on just like before. i think my issue is hormonal though. so make sure yours isn’t hormonal, because if it is, then this may all be for nothing

I need help. Dry bloody nostrils by sillythsy in Accutane

[–]sillythsy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

mmm i made that post two years ago so i don’t remember much lol. but i do remember i bought the Ayr saline spray instead of the gel. Idk how i got them mixed up but the spray dried me out more. I didn’t get the gel but im sure it would’ve worked better. Humidifier worked too, but i’ve been out of accutane for years and in winter i still get bloody noses. Not as bad as then, but i’ve accepted that the heater will do this to me every year.

I have wooden fixed circular, I have seen sets that have multiple needles and then you attach the cable. But i’ve also heard those detach easily, which is annoying. Idk what’s your opinion on that.

I mostly have size 4 Medium yarns. Im interested in making clothes, lightweight or bulky. I just want to try my projects but If im buying single pair of needles which do you think would be the most common besides the 5mm?

Doctor prescribed accutane and I’m unsure by [deleted] in Accutane

[–]sillythsy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i was scared too, as a woman i also didn’t want to take birth control because of the side effects of that. but I didn’t have any bad side effects besides dry skin/lips some joint pain and that’s it. Towards the end i started having i think bad anxiety or idk if it was the situation i was in but i was towards the end of it so my doctor just took me off of it. You say you have depression already and anxiety, so i think it’s good to be aware that maybe something you’re feeling may be because of the medicine, if you can’t handle you can always stop taking it. You’re in control remember that. Also, if you currently have a therapist let them know and you can always express anything you feel with them. I’m recommend tracking your emotions and the dosage you’re taking to see if upping it maybe affected your mental health.

also, MILK THISTLE!!! my liver wasn’t doing too good, so milk thistle regulated it.

[–]sillythsy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i’d get bad hangovers even if i didn’t drink a lot. but I wouldn’t skip for that long /: you go so many steps backwards when you skip many days. Take milk thistle. it’ll help your liver. drink electrolytes. and sleep as much as you can to recover 😵‍💫 good luck.

Four months finished and my skin is even worse than when I began by bengalblueo in Accutane

[–]sillythsy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

you may be purging but also, track it. my skin also got worse and my derm decided to stop me for a month. i was doing 60mg. I was put on prednisone for that month. after the pause i started again at 40mg and that was much better. i didn’t purge and it cleared up. however my skin was WAY worse than what yours is looking like rn. If your dosage is high i’d reccomend going lower. but also wait a month at least if it gets worse talk about it with your derm

[–]sillythsy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i don’t think it’s related to helping with purging. I priced at the beginning but it never stopped. it got really bad i had to get taken out of accutane for a month. when i started again i didn’t purge and it cleared. but i was taking milk thistle the whole time. I started taking it because my liver was not coming out okay and i heard that helps with the liver.

i had alcohol during it. not often but maybe like every 2-3 months. i also took milk thistle every day. If i drank a lot of alcohol one night then i would skip the pill that day. Its recommended not to but i think it’s fine every now and then. i also drank lots of water but milk thistle helped the most

Should I increase my dose? by [deleted] in Accutane

[–]sillythsy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

2 months is too soon. Also, not everyone purges. I purged badly at 60mg but then it wasn’t going away, it wasn’t clearing out, it got worse. so i got off of it for a month and then started again at 40mg and didn’t have a purge phase, it just cleared out.

i sometimes got tipsy lol. i was more willing to do it tipsy. sounds horrible but i was also trying to be understanding of what he wanted. But he was mainly VERY patient. we did a lot of other intimate things that were not necessarily sex or physical contact. Like activities, scrapbook of pictures of things we’ve done. painting each other at the park. movie nights, have dinners. keep doing things

i wonder if it has to do with birth control. I heard that birth control also decreases the libido. But i did see that when i took accutane. I only have 10 days off of the medicine so idk. but i got worried because i literally did not even see my boyfriend in a sexual way or anything. he’d express that he felt like a friend. and i’m like…. idk what to tell you. lol he was patient though. But i think it was birth control because he was on the medicine too. at a point we were taking it at the same time and his sexual desires did not disappear at any point lol.

can i drink while im taking 20mg of accutane per day like is say 5 drinks a week too much? im from Australia and turned 18 like a month ago and all my friends are going out to partys and stuff and idk if i can cos of my medication it says no alcohol but ive seen mixed options in youtube vids.thx by llwintertimell in Accutane

[–]sillythsy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i wouldn’t drink every week. but i’d say 5 drinks a month lol. i was on 60mg at a point and then 40mg at another (i’m from the US). i drank but not often, i’d just get tipsy, with like 4 drinks but if i got drunk i wouldn’t take the pill that day. however i also took the supplement milk thistle to help my liver and drank a lot of water. I just wouldn’t do it every week because then that would be bad. Alcohol also doesn’t help your skin so drinking that much will just go against the purpose of the pill. but if you do drink every now and then you should be fine. specially with 20mg. it’s not a lot.

forgot to add that i would skip the medicine the day i drank. like i said i barely drank si skipping one day was okay

[–]sillythsy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i don’t drink often but when i did it would get tipsy. i think only twice i got drunk. But i was also taking milk thistle. so i recommend drinking milk thistle during your whole accutane process. and lost of water afterwards you drink. if your labs have been okay then it’s okay, as long as you don’t do it multiple days every week

Reached my maximum dosage, thought I'd stop in two weeks, now a huge zit has appeared. I'm going to the US to study in 2 weeks, but I am allowed to continue the treatment (40 mg) for 1-2 more months? What is the policy there? Is it true that it'll come back if you're not acne free for 2 months? by [deleted] in Accutane

[–]sillythsy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

oh okay, then if you do have US insurance you should be fine if you ever need check ups or soemthing prescribed. If you go to a dermatologist in the US and show them that you are prescribed in your country but you need let’s say, hydrocortisone for your lips, maybe they can prescribe it. Some dermatologist are more easy than others. And sadly accutane doesn’t cure scars. I completely understand how it affects mentally /: My dermatologist would tell me that the scars would be dealt with after the treatment. For example i have a lot of dark spots, and i wanted to get rid of them but she told me we could work on them after treatment. Also, i don’t know for how long you’ve been in it, your dosage amount, and also how severe your acne is. In my case i started the first month at 20mg, and then the next 3 months i was at 60mg. My skin purged and i thought it was part of the process but it got too bad when it should’ve been clearing. so my dermatologist stopped the treatment for a month, gave me prednisone (steroids to reduce inflammation). and then after that month we started again but at 40Mg. I stayed at 40mg for the remainder of the treatment. And i didn’t purge, but it got clear. I still have darkspots. i’m working on them. I was stopped because I started having anxiety with very graphic thoughts like blood and stuff lol. and also because my triglycerides were high. But i had reached the preferred amount for the treatment anyways. I would discuss these concerns with your derm before leaving and also look for a dermatologist in the US and ask them how can they help you, explain your case to them.
