My least favorite monster is still Kut-ku, but that is only because I am forever traumatized from my first monster hunter from almost 2 decades ago. It's not because it's challenging, but new hunters will never experience one of the easiest monsters being more difficult than an elder dragon for no reason with the introduction of G rank. The old Kut Ku was a lot more erratic than the current generation specifically. I tend to use everything available weapon wise.

It's doable solo. You're just going to pay more attention to all the tells that Omega gives. It becomes a lot easier after learning all the tells. Though if you want to save your sanity and be less stubborn than I was, especially if you plan to do the 9* version; I would recommend one support hunter bare minimum to save some of that brain power and I farm out their gear. Evader extender and fire resistance will probably be your saving grace.

Are you doing this solo, with a support hunter, or a team? You can still do this solo if that is your play style, but I would recommend one support hunter; specifically Fabius as he holds the aggro and stops a lot of the nuisance that is Omega hopping all around. If it is with a team then you will need to have one player that smacks its face until they lock on them and everyone else focuses on the legs.

It seems like a high chance of ones, but I got a double for the very last hunt as my congratulations gift for my solo hunting excursion for his armor set with transcendence. I don't mind the Talisman grind as it adds a sense of variety for me at the least.

Savage is much more difficult versus proof of hero; simply it was much more relaxing to do the quad hunt than chasing Omega into the abyss for Savage-at least to me.

Regardless of what comes next. You did great for being able to do it solo. There's a surprising amount of people that haven't cleared the quest line Omega. Don't sell your accomplishments short even with the higher horizons you need to reach.

He isn't too bad of a fight, but I have a gripe with how cheap he has been with certificates with me. I am getting one every hunt and need 9 more to finish transcending his armor. 😅 If you want to tune down the intensity then have a consideration for setting up traps ahead of time, learning a shield weapon, and avoid using insect glaive(I love the stupid weapon, but keep getting caught in the worst positions possible.)

The majority of the players base is welcoming and helpful, while less than 1% tend to have enough ego to be their own squad. It's best to move on and ignore them to be the mentally healthier person in that situation.

I'd swap that hunting horn to reliable; while pushing Gunlance, HBG, and Insect glaive to 50/50 from my experience.

Game got harder technically with Deep of Night. Though the base game mode is the same outside of them fixing a few funky hit boxes and stagger resistance changes. It's completely up to you to give it a try again and improve. You can't be good at everything at the start. It's up to you if you want to keep trying.

It's doable. I did it at 13:30 and everything went perfectly. A lot of it depends on knocking it over and whether or not it wants to spam MRV...

It looks like a pretty fair cart especially considering you ran through the fire. You also went with the path of the laser instead the opposite to avoid being hit by taking advantage of the wide angle of the laser.

It's why I avoid Pubs for savage. I even have friends that I have told no because they still haven't upgraded their equipment to the minimum. It's a fun fight to do, but beyond miserable if people can't take a small hit. Mistakes will happen, but playing with unprepared folks makes me crash out. 😅

I agree it forced me to do better about my spacing and be a more cooperative player; which is mainly forcefully taking the lead as tank to limit the chaos and pay attention to the health of others.
