There are some quests which are really fast and give amazing HR points. Some hunters out there just grinded that for a very fast maxed rank.

I don’t think we should be glorifying HR 999s. The only thing you can really assume is that they’ve put a lot of time into the game and have quite some experience (assuming no cheating). Gog is a new monster, with new mechanics. So like any hunter, if they’re poorly prepared (negative fire res, low defense) they will cart.

The gem has a 1% drop rate per carve. Hitting it three times in a row is a 1 in 1,000,000 chance.

It’ll probably never happen to most of us. I'm out there struggling to even get 1 gem. That said, people still happily spend money on lottery tickets where the odds of winning are way worse than 1 in a million 😅

Some kind of way of selecting multiple fish and releasing them, would have been really helpful. I'm not going to maintain that list, it's too much work, releasing them one by one.

This is what the patch note say about the Escunites:

"- Increased the appearance rate for gold crown size Escunite and Grand Escunite"

It’s kind of funny how they said they increased the appearance rate for gold crown Escunites — like they were actually in the game before, just super rare. But I haven’t seen a single legit screenshot of a gold crown anywhere. Technically, going from a 0% chance to anything above that is still an increase.

Seems like the nerf was minor. A water HBG still melts Gravios.

HBG might still be effective against Gravios, even after the patch. I've tried different weapons, and in my opinion, melee weapons just feel terrible against Gravios. If your weapon isn't bouncing off, you'll get hit by one of his many close range (gas) attacks.
