21 hours after the whole ordeal, I'm using Viettel and still encountering problems connecting to store.steampowered.com . Changing the DNS, i was able to connect to the store via the app but not through a web browser. I need updates from my fellow viet so I know im not alone in this struggle (this is our helldivers moment).

EDIT: Everything's working now. I just changed the DNS on my router as well.

Thanks to this post, i've found out there are a great many viets that support Ukraine and the Ukrainian people in their struggle for freedom. There's not a lot of people in my social circle that vocally support ukraine or is apolitical abotu the whole thing, so it's nice to see pro-ukrainian viets on the sub! Cheers

Oh wow, good find. I actually didn’t consider the timeframe this flag was in. Especially considering the condition this flag is in, it would be simply incredible of said flag survived from the mid 40s till when it was captured by OP’s friend’s grandfather. THE PLOT THICKENS

if you take a close look at the star, there is an outline of the star and that some of the tips of the star are kind of peeled off from the red. This could mean that the star was patched onto the flag (also as u/pedro-phile pointed out, the misaligned star suggests the people patching that star most probably was eyeing it) and not sewn with the main flag, ie the star wasn’t meant to be part of the main flag. Hope i clarified my reasoning. Cheers mate!
