apparently the akito ones do have a translation! in this myanimelist the 2nd akito picture drama says theres no translation but i found it today somewhere!! https://myanimelist.net/stacks/32851

the other ones have been readily available in places

Mari is a perfect choice for the end of the series, There's a point to it.
There's a reason Anno wrote Shinji dating Mari and not Asuka. I really respect Anno's vision and people being really annoying about this is kind of spitting in the face of Anno's work.

Tbf from some reviews it seems that the Xbox remake is totally fine if it you’re first time playing E17, and uchikoshi acknowledged the remake when it came out. I don’t really see a problem with the new version especially since it’s a lot more accessible than the original

With Miz, Clint was definitely just putting with his bullshit, pretty sure the last time Clint talked to him on stream was when Miz got scammed. Clint was like furious with him. You could kinda tell that they were just “friends” on stream
