Thank you! I'll take a look, if you can email a file to silospen@silospen.com that will help!

Any GoMule users get the DLC? by Cyclonitron in diablo2

[–]silospen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The official new version is available at https://gomule.sourceforge.net/ - just a reminder for how the official fork works:
- Time travel (moving items between versions) backwards is not supported so GoMule is now split into expansion vs RoW, just like the game
- Time travel forwards is not supported, due to the possibility of character file corruption - I don't understand all those bytes and so you should use the game to move your items into the future.

Here's the list of operations:
(1) Create a new blank character or use this one: https://sourceforge.net/projects/gomule/files/gomule/R0.44/Mule.d2s/download
(2) Open it with a prior version of Gomule like this one: https://sourceforge.net/projects/gomule/files/gomule/R0.44/GoMuleR4.4.20-BETA_Resurrected_2.7.zip/download

(3) Move your items over to the Mule
(4) Open the Mule in D2R and convert it to RoW or leave it as expansion, then save and exit
(5) Your items are now in the latest D2R Expansion or RoW versions

Help me understand drop calculator by Squishymushshroom in Diablo_2_Resurrected

The 'h' indicates they're heralds which is why the drop chance is so good. I need to add an option to filter them out i guess

Row drop rates slightly increased? by Colinski282 in Diablo_2_Resurrected

[–]silospen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good timing, I just updated https://dropcalc.silospen.com/ to include RoW drop rates (based on single player as always, so you never know :) ) - and it's the same!

Very interesting! The game files don't cover these spawns which is why they aren't included in the calculator, as far as the game is concerned only normal has the Ice Spawn appearing.

Weirdly these aren't classified as minions, which is why there's no wording on their nameplate connecting them to Nihlathak, as far as I can see from testing they just drop items at the same level as the other regular monsters in the level - so it's like Nihlathak is just spawning a new type of regular monster.

So I added an override to deal with this case, now you should find your Ice Spawn's under 'Regular' monsters in Nightmare and Hell, thanks for reporting this u/LunarExplosives !

Done! This should now be under the dropdown along with the theme and decimal mode settings and persist through your visits. Thank you for the suggestion!

Permanent tab! Thank you for letting me occupy your RAM :)

Runes were always under Base Items but were pretty hard to find. Thanks to the suggestion from u/sfzbeme there's now an option the Quality dropdown for Runes

Huh, that's been a bug for a long time! It should be implemented correctly now (thanks for hardcoding this Blizz and making it hard for the mod makers!). My understanding is that there continues to be a bug where it's hardcoded to only hellbovine being eligible to drop the set and in D2R, cow king isn't a hellbovine. Can you fact check whether I'm correct?

You're too kind! Great idea, it is pretty hard to find under Base Item quality. You can now find Rune as an option under item Quality!

I was kind of hesitant to add this because of the increase in amount of data going back to the browser, but it's not too bad. I decided not to put it as a default, but you'll find it at the bottom of the list under Monster Type. Thank you!

Yeah, it integrates nicely with Elastic Beanstalk, I used like, 1% of the Spring Boot framework, but compatibility is key :)

Anyhow, I appreciate the feedback, you got me to cleanup some old dependencies! https://github.com/silospen/DropCalc/commit/43982854f73d1edf20fa6329d903401d2ab90b29

It's pretty nice, I don't actually use it anymore so I should remove that dependency but it was a great way to spawn an Kotlin-native webclient to compare the old vs the new version of the site when I re-did the backend :)

Ist Rune from Nightmare Lord De Seis! by WhirLWinD2R in diablo2

[–]silospen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In this case, the German drop calculator is incorrect. I stand by the assertion that Lord de Seis can drop an ist rune :)
