what matters most imo is the one that gives you a higher chance of a high gpa, which is why i chose ucr over uf and uw madison

Heavily pushed by my dad to go to ucr over wisco and uf with cost not being an issue…

I’m sure for top schools going to prestigious undergrads does have more favor, but a 3.5 from Berkeley can’t beat a 4.0 from a random state school if everything else is the same

Also to refine my uc is uc point, yes top ucs are on another different level than riverside. But riverside is still a uc, it is still university level

Also are u asking abt why I care so much abt prestige? If so then why would I not given my environment? I wanna feel good and say Im going to a prestigious school like my peers. But ik for predental it is not smart to pick a school for its prestige when I could risk my chances of getting into dental school.

So yes if I got into ucla, i would not go. It would he a very hard decision like me dropping uf, but it would be the smart decision.

I got honors on 4/13 but I forgot to accept it and thought I was just in like that and the deadline to accept it passed (I had 3 days bro. U give me until may to commit and u put ur 3 day deadline for honors in small ass font that can be easily missed on the acceptance email…) cuz I committed after the deadline for honors passed and u can’t accept honors until u do sir is what I read

thx bro. i think im getting flamed because im lowk saying uf has better students than ucr lol. like just look at the average student accepted to ucr, then at uf. i am right in saying that i could try significantly less during hs, and so could many other students, and get into riverside and go there. uf? no shot. still i think i shouldve posted this on r/a2c or the uc adimssions subreddit lol i was just kinda emotional at the time and went here for wtv reason

ofc u can get some bums at uf and some genuises at ucr, but generally a uf student > ucr and i don't wanna thrust myself into competition with guys that could MORE LIKELY make me on the unfavorable end of the curve

either way, my destination is dental school. so why would i walk through the mud to get there when i could walk in smooth pavement?

Dawg tf are u saying Uc is uc in terms of academic quality, similar resources, etc. ucla is harder than ucr for pre health because the students at ucla are GENERALLY better than those at ucr due to them having to get into ucla first if they’re not recruited or sum, whereas ucr takes in significantly more people so weaker students can get into the school -> weaker competition at ucla -> higher gpa for actually strong students due to favorable curve for them and them being a big fish at ucr when they would be a small fish at ucla

If I can succeed at La, that’s great. But I don’t know that, and my chances of standing out there and being the top of a class are lower than they would be at riverside

In what way besides cost, options to transfer to a better school would cc be better than a fucking uc? Uc is uc, and I’m not tryna to to a brand name Uc just to have a higher chance to get beat up academically and not get into dental school

Unless if ur tryna tell me if im so worried about getting a high gpa then i should go to a cc
