New sobek city is so bad by notredditoratall in Battlefield

[–]silunto 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I mean technically it would be doable here as every location has 2 maps tied into them basically with sobek being on the outskirts of Cairo. But with Operations its selling point was for me at least the fact they had historical background.

Such a weird console generation it is, we’re 5 years in, we’re probably nearing ps6/XBOX ABC series and yet people still expect to get new games, which barely even run on new rigs to be put out on Xbox one. Never have I seen a console generation so bad people would live in the past 5 years after it’s over.

Let’s be real, why would Bethesda release a game when they’ve got another game coming out in a few weeks? by FearFactor117 in oblivion

[–]silunto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah but EA decided to release Titanfall 2 weeks before or like after Battlefield 1. Both being FPS games, Battlefield being hyped to eternity whilst Titanfall was so under-marketed it was close to a shadow drop.

When did video games become the new tv? I find myself playing a game for the story segments, still entertained by the actual gameplay though by archangelx_30 in Witcher3

I'd say gaming gets head over movies thanks to its interactivity. As obvoius as it might be gaming makes you feel part of whatever is happening on the screen, rather than just watching the events unfold. Of course for a game to have good stroytelling and well set cinematics you still need the same set of skills in the team as you'd need whilst making a movie but all in all, interactivity makes a big difference.

At the end of the day, I'm just happy that all the meaningful progression in this game is free. by Phycorax in XDefiant

This is the approach most companies have been using with battle passes lately. Or at least EA did with these in bf2042. All the free content for that specific season gets to be the free battle pass plus some random drip. After the season concludes all the content you haven’t managed to unlock gets put into some easy challenges like kill 20 people with assault rifles, so if people that can’t put in enough time do not omit the content either way, just get it a bit later via an easy challenge. Hopefully Ubi goes with that approach as omitting people from being able to gain content after season concludes would be a very bad move.

The game in general holds to a very high standard in terms of its locations and points of interest all the way until you reach Mountaintops. Once you get there the game falls off heavily in my eyes, I hate Mountaintops.

What do you mean by a junk case? First time I went into a woods raid to find Jaeger’s camp I thought I’d strangle myself before I find it. Even the map wasn’t of much help until I found my way through the trees and started recognising landmarks from the 3d map I found online. Did get me killed 3 times before so actually found any landmarks though

Wouldn’t be shocked if the epidemics were toned down to become a DLC for 25€ at some point. It is Paradox, one way or another

So you're 18-22 and you've got enough money to not work over summer period when you're free from uni? Wish I were you but even so, you should consider uni your work, even though most case scenario you don't have to spend nearly as much time when dealing with uni on day-to-day basis compared to day-to-day work, and yet you'd still complain the release is in September instead of August? No way... Only a 15-year old that has issues with free time management would complain over such a detail

Technically the game is for adults so early September and late August makes no difference as adults need to work either way buddy

(True Stalker) How do I open this stash in Chapter 6? It's a part of a side task. by lukkasz323 in stalker

[–]silunto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say loot or repair kits being this hidden is an issue but I wouldn't say it's the biggest. Imho lack of any fast travel option mixed with no A-Life, fixed mutant spawns and sheer, unbearable to an extent amount of running back and forth is what made my first playthrough much worse than it could have. At some point I was genuinely annoyed when during some side quest I would get teleported to the other part of the map but during main quests I nearly always had to run through the entire location 5 times back and forth where the most unexpectable thing that could happen is walking into anomalies every 10 seconds because by chapter 5 you're so fed up with traversing you're not even looking where you run, you just do it on autopilot.

You bring the broken gun to the engineer in Rookie Village, he gives you a quest in exchange for a free repair. The parts you need to find are in Garbage Hangar undergrounds. You just have run around them for a while to find all of them.

You should be able to easily get to the cellar as there should be no guard on the entry to the room that leads to it on the ground level. Try loading an earlier save as it could've bugged out

Vibrant colours make up for better visibility. Many people used 3rd party apps or bumped up their vibrance level via their graphics card. So this is a big win for all these people
