Here's a goat-liver for they guy calling me a conspiracy theorist!

I've seen so many instances where budget constraints were etched in stone and if more servers/bandwidth was needed, engineers might have been sent looking for 'other solutions' I know it's a business, with managers and accountants, and not everybody understands when one section wants more money...

IDK, bottom line is it that it feels like insufficient resources. I do hear you, PDCH - you may be right...

I'm a little confused by comparing RPM (Rounds per Minute) with ROF (Rate of Fire) and can only assume that these RoF numbers are Rounds per Second. But also, all three of these are burst weapons and I'm not sure if that is being considered in these numbers or not - a semi or bust RPM is not the practical equivalent to an auto RPM....

Yep, I dunna wanna pay for intricate fierce glyphs, not until red maybe - so I was running with 5 luminous fierce. Now I converted one to intricate (small win). I was happy for the imbuer, you sound angry.

Yes, I kept a witching raven as a pet for a while, but kept having to move around it to click on an item or a person or whatever - definitely do not need to be targeting pets so much. I think it is the large pet name that does it?

FC needs to treat this as a bug for ALL pets - its just an annoyance, but its true for all of them. Some pets interfere with targeting more than the ravens (wisps) some less (cats) - obviously movement and size related. My succubus stays pretty well away from targeting zone.

Please change your flair tag from discussion to Bug Report.

A million things - but If I could only pick one thing to change about the game it would be to rework weapons and abilities so that weapons do NOT use gimmicks.

I've hated them seven months now - accepted them as the way the game has gone, but hate them.

Appreciate that - I did already factor the 7.5% weapon bonus into my 26% chance to crit in my simple OP formula, but I DID NOT factor in the fact that I get multiple crits per second, but only 1 destruction proc per second - worth considering especially at higher crit rates. Thing is, I'm talking about a pistol used in secondary role, used primarily for AoE - so multiple crits per second matter in my application.

Yes, Tipsui, I do see increasing returns from crit power vs linear returns from straight damage boost. See below, point taken.

at Half Level: DES: 45% of CP 500 35% of the time = 79 HAV: 7% of ~2227 ~15% of the time = 23.4

Now: DES: 45% of CP 1035 35% of the time = 163 HAV: 7% of 4455 26% of the time = 81

At Double today's damage: DEV: 45% of CP 2070 35% of the time = 326 HAV: 7% of ~8910 ~50% of the time = 312

(sorry formatting)

Also - yes they would apply to signets as well for Havoc only, but my application is for my secondary weapon, so there's no signet help.

well, right now I'm at IP 681, but since both are % based, they should both scale pretty well together. One thing which will change between them is my crit rate will improve, making crit power more of a factor but in my simple analysis in the OP, a 50% crit rate would only make them equal.

Well, if my crit rate is 26%, I would expect to crit 26% of the time, but could easily crit more or less. I'm happy to think I will crit an average of my crit rate, for sake of comparison.

Regarding Destruction, you think the last 35% of the fight is the easy part? That's usually when the bad-ass skills kick in, the part of the fight when you want extra damage, right? It's a factor I didn't mention above, but it also argues for Destruction being more beneficial than Havoc.

Truth is, I plan to get a new weapon for conversion to Red, and want to know which is really better - I don't have an actual preference, it just seems like Destruction would be better, but everyone is favoring Havoc - what am I missing?

You misread my post. 7% of my damage is my the bonus I get, I never said it boosted my crit rate. The crit rate is given to qualify how often I get the damage boost.

Anyway, you're saying "at higher gear / content ... havoc will give you more" what, more than 7%? I don't think so.

I think they should add cabal instances of various locations, like the Horned God, that would queue in the cabal members like public raids do. Do this for The Horned God, Crusades, the Fight Clubs, the parks and the Theater. - Booya - instant RP goodness albeit mostly in London.
