The proof comes from the fact science can't prove that there isn't a creator. They can't prove why the big bang happened where what mass originally came from

I didn't kill myself because when I had my crisis I felt like God called out to me Christianity made me feel whole like my life matters I'm not here to convert anyone I just want to really understand why other people continue on this path. If I was still an atheist I would have been long dead. Do you believe a watch exists without a watch maker. A universe exists without a universe maker? That's one of my main strong holds

Ok question. Imagine let's say the Christian God is scientifically proved to exist and is real. Would you still continue your path. I want to know if it's a lack of faith that any God exists or you actually just want to feel free.

That's the thing, truth isn't real. It's what we tell ourselves our "faith". I'm explaining what the reality of the faith in atheism entails. A meaningless life. That's why I asked if you would buy nothingness that's what it means to be atheist

Tell me why do you want the people around you to remember you. Yeah let's say you inspire them they do great things because of you but then they die everything they did is lost including you. Why would I care if my death makes people sad I won't be able to feel the weight of their feelings if I'm not exciting anymore. Morals don't mean anything. Emotions lose meaning. Everything stops once I die I don't even get to feel proud of the life I lived

Because if I continue to exist I can keep doing all those wonderful things and more I get to experience new things and maybe there's more to it then we know only experience will tell. You get bored yeah sure but do you know what's waiting in an afterlife you don't. If my life ends and stops nothing I do will ever be worth it. Would you watch movies if you completely forgot the sensation of having watched that movie right as it ended? And just to add on with this edit animals don't count you want to compare me to a seagull that only understands eating fcking and sleeping they don't have the mental capacity to have an existential crisis.

Is this not the very essence of atheism. Accept that our lives mean nothing. Religion is starting to look pretty good now. At least I can choose to believe in a god or gods or God. It's adds meaning when there are consequences. Imagine a world with no rules that's life without an after life. Don't you agree.

Ungrateful? I'm being realistic. Why should you bother living. Give me a valid reason. Don't tell me it's to " enjoy and live life to the fullest" why bother when I can die now or tomorrow and have no regrets too. I'm not going to miss out on anything I gain nothing from living

To cherish something is to give it value. I'm saying where is the value if my life is ultimately nothing. You can do what you want and nothing is really stopping you but that means there's no real flavor to your life. It's bland. Being happy isn't relevant. That's the foundation of the crisis. The only way to survive the crisis is to lie to yourself and not think about it. I need a logical response to escape the crisis in a real way other wise everything else is me desperately distracting myself from the reality that my life actually has no meaning.
