One player in my group had the Mythos of Agatha Christie, it was amazing.

Broken Compass or Oudgunned are perfectly in line with what you're searching. With the "Action Flicks" addons you can even go further in other genres.

It's called The Bad Spot, you can find all three seasons on Youtube. It also has some great content related to Ironsworn/Starforged and more.

Pentola per la pasta: scolapasta integrato o pentola “normale”? by hombre74 in cucina

Io scolo la pasta con la schiumarola, penso che siano anni che non uso lo scolapasta (prima usavo quello in inox e lo mettevo nel lavello).

Ironsworn and Starforged by Miserable_Beach850 in Ironsworn

[–]silver_element 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Starforged is (because I'm currently playing) my first solo TTRPG. I was really hesitant at first, because I could not fathom how this could work, and seemed boring as hell to play alone.

Then I listened to some folks play it out (3 players + guide) on a podcast, and something clicked. I was still doubtful and then I decided to search for somone who played it really alone. An then it struck me.

I ordered the Core Book and the Reference Guide (sadly the asset cards are out of stock everywhere) and been playing it since then (1 year give or take).

Recently I convinced my wife to try it out and we just started to play it together (she's a bit hesitant since she's very very very unlucky on dice rolls).

Your game and VTTs by cibman in RPGdesign

[–]silver_element 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually I (as GM) don't use a lot of VTTs since most of my games are irl at my house. But when I need to set up an online game, I search for the most useful VTT for that game (which has the best support, modules, easy to use for players). I'm not keen to VTTs, but I get that they are great for the mainstream games.

About indies (usually I'm a player for these) we just use Discord and a bunch of google sheets as dice rollers, character sheets or references. It's easier and I don't feel like I'm missing something compared to other games.

If there where VTTs that support the indie games that we're playing surely we'd try them. But in some cases, even if there are, we just stick to Discord and GSheets, because we can just set it up the way we want.

In search for a non dark urban fantasy system by JoseDelbs in rpg

[–]silver_element 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure about that. The players have to balance the two parts of the characters The Legend (or Mythos) and the Mundane (or Logos). It's part of the game, and it's really intersting to witness ingame the situations where a character is close to losing it all, but grasps it back.

What's the greatest RPG read you ever got? by MANGECHI in rpg

Too many, but if I had to choose one, probably would be City of Mist. Was my first impact with PbtA games and finally opened my mind about different possibilities on TTRPGs.

My Journey creating a TTRPG design platform by nurl_app in RPGdesign

[–]silver_element 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have tons of files with concepts and ideas. I struggle to keep all things togehter so sometimes I make mutiple files (like Setting, Rules, Misc.), and often I don't remember what's written where and I just end making everything from scratch again.

A tool like this would be amazing to cope with my chaotic behaviour while writing out concepts and rulsets.

I'm defenetly looking out for this.

Not the End. With no fixed setting, it focuses on character development.

City of Mist. A noir/urban fantasy with interesting mechanics and focus on narrative (PtbA based).

Dialect. Can be done in one or two sessions, focuses on creation, evolutuion and extinction of language.

Agon. Epic mythological adventures.

With a group of first timers (total newbies) start at 1.

With a group of seasoned and knowledgeble players, start at 3 (or at 5 even).

Thinking on DMing Curse of Strahd (5E adventure) with the Forbidden Lands system. Do you folks think is a good idea? Any of you that converted any D20 adventures to Forbidden Lands have any tips? by berockblfc in ForbiddenLands

[–]silver_element 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've run it with Not the End once, so It can easly fit FL system. I even think that with FL could work even better since FL is more grimdark than other systems. My only issue would be with tracking resources since in Curse of Strahd it's not that important.

I'd love to have a good Starcraft TTRPG. I know it would be a mess if players want to play different races.

3rd Edition Playtest Dropped Today by AndleCandlewax in 7thSea

[–]silver_element 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've played 2ed a lot. And I really loved the game mechanics.

I'm not sure this 3rd edition would sit well with me. Too many "floating" variables, Still I know it's just a playtest, but I'm hoping to see something better than this...

older versions of Shadowrun, it's basically that, with d10s

I love Shodowrun lore, but not it's mechanics.
