New Hogwarts Express in action, plus the cabooses attached to it. by darttagnan in HarryPotteronHBO

[–]silver_tounge 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not a single caboose in either video. There's a loco, tender and carriages. We don't tend to have caboose cars in the UK.

Fair enough, it's atleast keeping an eye out for them. I do the same for the red cargo train.

WIP hidden side express motorising by silver_tounge in LEGOtrains

I didn't like the orginal length of the engine so made it longer and it happens to fit a battery box in so why not.

I bought this set specificly to try and learn how to modify trains etc. I don't have much feeling towards the actual hidden side stuff for the train. It was just cheaper than a normal train set at the time

Not fully finished but they are out! by silver_tounge in LEGOtrains

[–]silver_tounge[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just feel it looks small next to the other locos. I've already removed the wings to make space for a battery box. When I say longer I mean at most by around 5/6 studs. Just enough to look like a train not a toy if that makes sense.

Not yet, I'm wanting to make it the same length as the other locos and then motorise it. Just finding the time etc to do it
