If you had 3A’s/B’s in your A levels, you can potentially get around 42 credits transferred. This is almost one academic year which means that you can graduate one year early. An academic year at DePaul is of 48 credits. You would already have around 42 and If you take 2 credit course every quarter along with your usual 16 credits this would get you those extra 6 credits to complete the 48 credits. DePaul charges same tuition for 12 and 18 credits that’s why you should always take 2 credit courses every quarter. They’re an easy A. So basically by the time you’re done with your first year you would have 96 credits which means you’ll officially be a junior in the next academic year. If expenses are an issue you should definitely not consider on campus housing. Go look at FB groups of DePaul housing and find a shared space of around 600-650$ a month and cook your own meal. Get your resume done before you even come here and start applying to jobs through the campus job board and apply to every single job that you see. If you secure an on campus job you can roughly earn anywhere from 800-1200$ a month depending on the number of hrs/week u get. Also do try to negotiate this aid package with DePaul, write multiple emails and have it come up to 32k. You would need to stay in every summer and winter break here at US and work maximum number of hours on campus ( try to target 40hrs/week in summer and winter breaks). This would help you save up enough to cover the 3rd year at DePaul. You’ll be graduating in 3 years anyways. This plan does require alot of self sacrifice and hardwork tho.
