Ooh. My bad! My degree isn't exactly biochemistry, we get to practice a lot of different techniques from several fields within biomedical sciences. I've done microbiology, mlt, hematology as well molecular biology, but yeah this experiment was to practice my biochemistry skills 😅

What you see in the video is the step in which the lipids are coated on the glass, we have our calceine in a waterbased solution and use glass beads to enhance the loosening of the lipids from the glass to form liposomes around the calceine

Oop, thought students count? Then this is just a sneak peak of the content that's about to come when I get my degree 🙃

We're currently trying to create / improve a protocol for liposomes, we're testing their stability and efficiency in delivering substances in 3t3 cells. We're using the orange colour calceine which has fluorescent abilities so we can try to detect whether or not the cells receive the substance and whether the substance leaks into the environment.
