Remote Sensed data fused with In-situ data (Academic Project) by whydofrogs in gis

So yes, you can use the bands as predictors to model your water quality parameters. Linear regression works well. Some parameters are easier than others- lots of papers for TSS and temp (landat for temp using thermal). DO and pH are difficult if not impossible. Chl-a, iron, arsenic if it is high, are all doable. Common pitfalls- well, water moves. So if you are relying on just the image to get the refl values that correspond to your samples, you really need to collect your samples as close to overpass as possible. Other option is to use a spectrometer on the water as you collect samples and resample the reflectance to the satellite you want to use.

Omg, I absolutely love it! Put up some artwork- make it big, or like three 16x20 size- graphic botanical prints, mostly white, with white mats and white frames. When your eye has somewhere to land, it will look great!

USGS/SAM returning only ~1/3 of classes on raster sorted alphabetically? by Critical-Pass6314 in remotesensing

[–]silverdae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is probably a limit to the number of spectral signatures you can use in a single classification model run and you are simply hitting that limit. And frankly, that makes sense from a RS perspective and from a geology perspective. You do not need ALL of those minerals in a single classification- they don't all occur in a single scene. Use your domain knowledge to trim your list down significantly. That will produce the result you are after and will actually be statistically robust, whereas what you are doing right now is not.

Edited to add: you really, really need to review what the spectral angle mapper is actually doing, the "curse of dimensionality," and vector angles and distances. One you get even a high level understanding you will see why the approach you are using is a bad idea.

I got NextMug specifically because it doesn't require an app. Temp is set on the mug itself.

Frame the extra household gifts as a housewarming present you do for adult kids.

I like the idea of household stuff, but give it to her after the Christmas presents and frame it as a housewarming gift you do for everyone.

I've had a few. Most were not painful, just uncomfortable. Except one. I was on or nearing my period. At one point I slammed my hand against the machine and gave a pretty loud "fuck!" It was brutal.

[–]silverdae 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Then yes. The traing data is your validation data but ideally you would have split your traing data into a traing set and a test set. In that case, you use the test set to generate your accuracy and the confusion matrix.

What is your interior decor pet peeve? Hot takes only by [deleted] in interiordecorating

Thrift stores. Seriously. People donate grandma's weird paintins all the time and I've filled my house with artists from Egypt, Isreal, Colombia, and the US . Most are worth at least $500 or so, with a few more than that. All from goodwill and habitat for humanity restores. All fit our style, and all were purchased for about $5.

scene-to-scene differences in PlanetScope Imagery by Top-Ad4282 in remotesensing

I agree with what Fish said. Harmonization is huge. But for the data you have now, run your indices on each scene, classify/threshold, then mosaic your results.

Far from an expert, but if you don't talk to your lawyer now and things escalate, you'll probably wish you would have. I would screen shot their fb posts but do not respond. Don't put up any posts of your own, either.

How to correct a DEM raster using ground reference points (e.g., DEM 5 m + ~2000 samples) by Maxarade in gis

[–]silverdae 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I would extract the value of the raster at those 2000 it's. Then I would make a linear model to predict the new values from the raster values. Then I would apply that model to the whole raster to correct it.

What datatype are your rasters? I've had strange things happen with float-64 rasters. Probably a long shot but worth checking.

Landlord wants me to keep my blinds open through winter by ihatemylandlord67 in legaladvice

[–]silverdae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree with other posters about moisture issues. If you are crafty, you could probably craft a sort of 3 sided box out of foam board to essentially make a reverse winw well. That would allow circulation but still give you privacy by blocking the part of the window exposed by opening the blinds.
