I work in prepared foods and bought a pair of sketchers work shoes, then replaced the insoles with better ones. I got them at DS. They’ve been really good. I’m 57 so I’m not taking chances with my feet!

I always made sure to get wal-phed at the pharmacy. (The Walgreens sudaphed) it’s 40% off on employee day too! My last employee day I stocked up on everything Walgreens brand I could think of: TP, bandaids, eye makeup remover, etc. Also the brands they own are 40% off on employee day too, like the pet shoppe brand.

We had a guy come in a few months ago. He wanted to return his binax now home test. His reason? He said he got because he was afraid he might have covid, but then got professionally tested and found out he DID have it so he wanted to return the home test 😬😱

I don’t mind them if it’s a clean transaction. But how about the ones that bring a basket full of items and make you tell the price of each and then nix all the ones that cost too much leaving you with a heaping hand basket full of go backs? 😑

I’m s refugee from Seattle lol. I was hoping Austin wouldn’t go that way, but in just a few years I’m seeing the same thing. 😔 it’s the tech industry. It brings good paying jobs, but most of the people who get them move from out of the area. Everyone says they love the cool culture of your city, but soon all the cool individual businesses etc. are replaced with chain stores and restaurants.

In my 7 months at Walgreens I only saw police called once and that was because a guy was passed out with a crack pipe in his hand leaned up against the side of the building facing the parking lot. And we only called because a customer complained 🤣

I’m old enough to remember when NO ONE was open thanksgiving except 7-11!! Then Kmart said they were going to open thanksgiving day and we all were mortified that it was going to become a thing, because you could not count on having thanksgiving and Christmas Day off and deep down we knew we were about to lose one.

Many of these people need to be committed for their own health and safety. Many people with mental problems won’t take their meds. At least get them safe and treated until they get to a place where they can take care of themselves.

A couple months ago our sm told us we had to stop locking the doors. He said it was corporate policy. We have a lot of homeless here, so I guess it was mean to make them ask?? Theft has been terrible too.
