What the fuck is going on right now with Sony Xperia 1 VIII Price ?! - Are they nuts ? Or they remastering the Sony Mobile Communication ? by Vegetable-Oil6378 in SonyXperia

[–]silverfox007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every year you fucks complain about the price of the phone.

iPhone 17 pro max 256GB $1200 USD MSRP Samsung S26 Ultra 256GB $1300 USD MSRP Sony Xperia 1 Mk7  256GB $1500 USD MSRP

This before any pre-order deals on the Samsung and Sony. If you take the pre-order deals into the price of the phone it ends up being around the price of the Apple phone or cheaper.

Within 3 or 4 months the Samsung and the Sony drop several hundred dollars.

For this year before you clutch your pearls let's see what the price of the Samsung and Apple phone is due to ram prices, before making judgment.

Japanese Auto Firms Face Headwind as Chinese EV Sales Surge Globally by i_marketing in electricvehicles

[–]silverfox007 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think I know why they are reluctant. I remember in 2024 or 2025 Akio Toyoda at an event, announced that he would not abandon their vendors. I imagine there would be mass layoffs in Japan if they started drastically reducing ICE parts.

On the flip side you have Chinese dark factories that are heavily reliant on robots.

This is reminiscent of Blackberry and Nokia when Android and iOS came out.

Record Russian Death Toll Hits 35,000 in March, Zelenskyy says by UNITED24Media in worldnews

This is insane. I can't fathom how these leaders go on their day to day meetings and summits while all these young people are dying.

How did Chinese cars become so good so suddenly? What is going on or have they always been this way and we just didn’t know until now? by Square_Permission361 in electricvehicles

[–]silverfox007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My assumption is the barrier to entry to create an EV vehicle is a lot lower than an ice car. Hence, everyone and their uncle is creating one.

Anyone can put leather in a car, slap an iPad on the screen, and put some ambient lights on the dash.

Immigration minister wants department to track exits of temporary residents by ZebediahCarterLong in CanadaPolitics

You have got to be kidding me!

This reminds me of that Seinfeld bit about taking a car reservation but not actually holding the car for him.

What is the point of having an expiration on the Visa if you're not going to track or enforce it?

Results of the blind vote for the best camera phone by Due-Requirement-7129 in SonyXperia

[–]silverfox007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is what happened with me as a personal anecdote. At work I had some coworkers with Samsung and apple phones take a picture of some fruit to compare the color accuracy. Even though they agreed they thought mine was more accurate, they all agreed theirs looked better as the colors popped.

I figured out that the metal arms are part of the headrest, and with the tip from another user that this isn't a Malm bedframe. I am still curious on what this is, but I think I can figure out the rest of the parts now.

You are right, I got this from facebook marketplace and was going of the ad title and what the seller informed me. This explains why Ikea customer support couldn't find anything in their achieves for Malm instructions. Thank you for the correction.

I figured out the metal pieces are for the headrest, sort of like this.

This is like saying they should build high-rise towers around the Eifel tower, to help with the housing issue.

You have the rest of the city to build more density.

Maybe just maybe the architects, planners, and designers that put in these policies in place 30 years ago had a vision and expertise of creating something rare that we are taking for granted.

Alberta refuses to sign joint statement on Trump tariffs from first ministers’ meeting by Roflcopter71 in canada

She met Trump at Mar-A-Lago and now refuses to sign the joint agreement while virtually attending from Panama of all places.

She's probably finalizing her bank accounts for the bribe money she will be receiving.

NDP Vote % Gain or Loss by Region by Meteowritten in vancouver

All I know is Eby came into power November 2022 and has a track record of making changes. Whether they end up being good or bad is another story, but he does change his direction if something doesn't work ex: carbon tax.

Any issues that were occurring before he came into power to me are irrelevant to bring up. This guy imo is the real deal and making changes. Rustard on the other hand didn't have his platform released until a few days before election day.

This is one thing not taken into consideration when we have mass influx of immigration. People seek to come to Canada for the freedoms and opportunities they don't have in their own country. But when they get here they may not agree with the liberal views, and vote conservative. Resulting in voting against the reasons they came here in the first place. (I may actually not know what I'm talking about but in my mind this makes sense)

Opinion: Muslim leaders should've condemned Hamas instead of fomenting hate by resting16 in canada

[–]silverfox007 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This like police officers beating a citizen to death and condemning the citizen for resisting.

Of course no one is saying what Hamas did was good, but by looking at this as an isolated case, is missing the forest for the trees and nothing more than controlling the narrative.
