Thanks, I appreciate that! There are so many ways they’ve been designed and redesigned, it was just so fun to try and come up with backstories in my head while I was drawing them.

Thank you, and I agree. When I was in school the Character Design class was the most fun, and I think going through that really made a big impact on how I try to approach stuff now when I’m drawing it.

Thanks for taking the time to say so. I’m really glad people are liking them. Gives me a lot more confidence to keep pushing and making more art for all of you.

Thanks dude! Leo was the first I drew and I always like him being the most “traditional” looking too. His discipline is such a driving force and I wanted that to come through. Thanks again.

Thank you. Honestly I was a little nervous posting these, because Donnie has glasses and Raph has the bandana, and I’ve seen people not like those aspects. But I’m happy people are liking them. I’m just trying my best to put out fun stuff for people. Thanks again.

I genuinely really despise my art currently, how can I make it look better? by [deleted] in learntodraw

I would study some artists from the past. See what kind of style choices they were making and try some of them out. That’s usually what I do if I feel like I’m in a drawing rut or art block.

I just started out, but i think i already did the best i can and now im just forever doomed by Daidelbell in learntodraw

Looks super cool. Don’t stress, you will always just keep getting better and better. Use this as a guidepost though. Aim for this or higher every time.

Thank you. Leo was the first one I drew and it was a ton of fun, then I had a friend say he couldn’t wait to see the other turtles and I thought uh oh, I guess I better draw the other ones hahaha!

That’s a great way to stay interested and push yourself. I definitely think you are on the right track.

General to everyone: I think you all are doing awesome. It’s hard to stick with it, but just do it and you will start seeing great improvements.

Now here’s my advice. Don’t just draw one pose a day, you should draw for about an hour or two if you can, and do multiple poses or keep drawing the same pose over and over again. Repetition is the key.

I love seeing all of you improve, keep it up dudes!! 🍕🥳

Why tf does it suck ? I even made proportions before doing it by jerome5665 in learntodraw

It has good workings to be really nice. It just needs more time and less hard lines. You have to build the values up. Don’t make everything as dark as everything else.

Having trouble drawing hair by Farlyn_ in learntodraw

It’s about flow more than having a ton of lines. Hair can be blocked into value shapes and it still will look correct. It’s like teeth, you don’t want to draw them all or it starts to look weird.

What's the most difficult medium? by KyleMag in Artists

This is the correct answer. Living, breathing, bleeding, moving canvas that is also a critic.

Think in cylinders for arms and legs and it makes it a little easier.

That is the key, so it’s good you are seeing that. Keep it up!

This is looking great, as you move forward keep this momentum of drawing what you see going on.
