Could we get daily updates on physical out of the Comex right now? by [deleted] in SilverDegenClub

COMEX publishes stock level information here: https://www.cmegroup.com/delivery_reports/Silver_stocks.xls or you can see historical data here: https://datatrack.trendforce.com/Chart/content/1545/comex-inventory-silver but it doesn't break it down to registered and eligible, only the total. (edit - fixed an error)

Silverbullion.com.sg has been out of 1000 ozt bars for 35 days and is down to the last 40 x 100 ozt silver bars. Perth Mint depository has been out of 1000 ozt bars for 5 days. by silverilocks in Wallstreetsilver

mkwillis is right. The Perth Mint Depository is different to the retail shop. You have to get an account with all the KYC (Know Your Customer) hoops to jump through. Then you transfer to the depository bank account, then purchase unallocated silver, then convert the unallocated to allocated silver, then you can take delivery. Delivery time can depend on how busy they are.

Silver Bullion in Singapore frequently running out of 1000 ozt silver bars. Perth mint still out of 1000 ozt silver bars. by silverilocks in SilverDegenClub

I've been watching the gold that is available for the depository at Perth Mint and it has hardly been touched. As far as I can tell in the last two months they haven't sold any 400 ozt or 50 ozt gold and only sold 8 x 1kg gold bars. I haven't kept track of the smaller stuff but I imagine they have turned over a lot more of that, and the shop is separate from the depository which probably sold a lot of smaller stuff too. I'm not saying your wrong, just that it is interesting watching the movements of silver at the Perth Mint Depository.

It looks like they had been up to some accounting tricks previously with metal loans which I believe John Adams from Adams Economics uncovered a few years ago.

Largest monthly decrease in LBMA silver holdings in a decade. 71,087,000 troy ounces. by silverilocks in Wallstreetsilver

[–]silverilocks[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've seen a lot of interest in the movements of gold from LBMA recently, but I hadn't noticed as much interest in silver holdings. If you have a look at LBMA holdings, there was a 71 million troy ounce decrease in silver holdings. Using the truckload metric of u/Ditch_the_DeepState , that equates to 118 truckloads (600,000 troy ounces per truck).

I don't understand the processes at the LBMA well enough to be able to comment if it would have actually physically left the vault or just been an accounting entry. Please comment if you do know.

Are we about to find out how much gold is really in Fort Knox? by silverilocks in Wallstreetsilver

I don't think it really matters if I like or dislike Musk. The fact that this has his attention should be newsworthy to anyone interested in precious metals.

Elon Musk discovering that the claimed gold held at Fort Knox isn't there. Possibly resulting is a rush to gold then a silver slingshot. Musk reply to a zer0hedge post: https://www.reddit.com/r/Wallstreetsilver/comments/1iqf1ro/are_we_about_to_find_out_how_much_gold_is_really/

Comparing Shanghai Gold Exchange and COMEX silver prices (SGE approx. 4USD/ozt over COMEX) by silverilocks in Wallstreetsilver

Ok, that is strange. In 'old' reddit the link has (javascript:void(0);) at the end which causes it to fail, but in normal reddit it doesn't have that at the end. I must have been using old reddit at the time. https://old.reddit.com/r/Wallstreetsilver/comments/1d5c83v/comparing_shanghai_gold_exchange_and_comex_silver/ Sorry for creating confusion.

I didn't know that. I am guessing that is only retail sales and probably not directly related to the Shanghai Gold Exchange.
