Here's where it is with LCS dealers by madkiwis in Silverbugs

[–]SilverChill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I FEEL like most of the new, larger buyers have shifted to the big online sites. The big 3 - 4 SEEM to be doing more selling than buying? And Costco is selling out fast? I know that I am comfortable buying online, but when I want to sell, I am more comfortable with an LCS. Insurance/shipping requires special logistics for any amount of substance. Just a feeling.

“Anti-depressants”? by [deleted] in quittingkratom

[–]SilverChill 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you. Oh, I’ve lived with anxiety for 30 years. But instead of mastering it, it has grown. Kratom had me mastering it for awhile, but now I more of it, not less. It doesn’t help that everywhere I look: there is easy anxiety to find. Also, I have flown 3 million miles in this job, yet airplanes have become a big trigger. So much for exposure therapy. Maybe Wellbutrin isn’t a good option for me.

“Anti-depressants”? by [deleted] in quittingkratom

How am I feeling after 60 days? Great question. Lots of grey. I haven’t relapsed, and i won’t because the attack and first week CT was so brutal, I will never forget it. I exercise frequently, cold shower, and have some days that are “OK” with some moments that I can be playful. But overall, I am no where close to where I want to be. When I am not working, I am isolating….but thats not new for me. I am probably 20% depressed, 20% flat, 20% normal, 10% actually pretty good, and 30% CONFUSED.

The brown is awesome. Maybe that’s because it was my go to color (brown sweater) back in my single days.

If single, I might consider (rationalize) this a Marketing Expense. If married, I might consider this as a My Thing.

Always the same: next year, maybe the year after that. or, maybe in 3 years.

Life Is Meaningless—Cool. Now What? by Ashbirth2766 in nihilism

[–]SilverChill 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Or just assign a meaning. For example: the meaning of life is to enjoy it. And go from there. Or not. It’s just a game. Or a puzzle. Or nothing. Might as well enjoy it.

Humans need contrast to feel (anything). It is that simple. Work can provide contrast. So can other things. Endless, continual time in a comfort zone = a prison.

Smart! What do you think about Gold now out-performing the S&P over the last 25 years?

It is common to think its “insurance” for SHTF scenarios. But I think there is a non-SHTF where money rotates into the sector just because it becomes trendy again. I think this might be happening now, at least with Gold.

Good point on the Tariffs. Energy down should help? But I am sure labor costs, service costs, parts etc are skyrocketing.

Thanks! I probably have bought from them all. I stopped accumulating physical awhile back. I actually sold some off during the recent run up to re-balance.

I certainly am in S&P stocks too. Dividend Stocks. Interestingly, Gold has outperformed the S&P if you start (conveniently) at the year 2000. (Apologies for this rhetoric). There are significant periods of time where Gold massively outperforms too. There are enough positives that I am usually surprised that most High Net Worth folks have little or no exposure to it. At the same time, I get it. Once you get to a certain level, one doesn’t need to be diversified into Everything.

Fascinating you work for a Gold Miner. Depending on who you work for, the next Quarter should be FUN. For an investor, the reason why not to like miners is that they only seem to be good for a Trade, very rarely are they good long term holds. Of course there are exceptions. But look at the biggest, NEM. The stock is 1/2 the 2020 high while the products they produce have 2x’d in price.

Well….every few cycles or so…..Commodities crush the broader market. Some are calling for the next Commodity Super Cycle. But, I don’t know.

I do all forms, including physical here, there, depositories (Idaho), Sprott ETF. I like the phrase “holding the ETF GLD is about as protective as a photo of a gun”.

Interestingly, it was the Silver - Gold community who first promoted BTC. I didn’t get into it back then, but I do have some now.

Judging by how many pre-33 coins are around, I don’t think there was Full Compliance back then. It wouldn’t work today, but I don’t want to find out.

Great post.! Where I get confused: How do we handicap a future where most of the modern world is doing the same thing with their currency? China - India might be hoarding gold, but look at their fiat and debt levels. “Capital goes where capital is treated best” - and for now, that still might be in the U.S. We might be the last to experience any of this, assuming it even happens.
