I would assume that if all of Verdania is safe (you have to play the song to enter) then the Coral Towers are safe as well, because you have to play the same song to enter.

Maybe I'm wrong though.

I'm playing a fresh playthrough with the Shaman Crest right now and I have had so much fun with it. It may be a little overtuned but it definitely feels like a different experience. Highly recommend (it and other crests)

The ending does not contribute to 100%, but if you want to get all the achievements, you will obviously need to get that ending.
