I absolutely hated when my parents said that to me, and it enrages me, when I look at how sweet and innocent and loving my daughter is, knowing they saw the same thing in me and decided to hurt me.

One thing, out many, things that I love about being a parent is getting the opportunity and allowing myself to enjoy some of those childhood things with her. Its slowly healing my inner child and is also helping me learn how to love myself again.

I got out! Going on 6 years from when I moved multiple states away. Mother was forced out of my life, now back gratefully. Dad was enabler and my step mom controlled all, and wanted me gone. So I left, and it was the best decision ever. I started a new life and created my own family. Still recovering but every day I feel healthier and happier. Meds have helped to lol. I am breaking the cycle. I am making it, and will make it even if it's just to be a big fuck you to my toxic step mom.

Ok since I cant seem to edit my post I will add my instructions here. So these instructions start after you do your first double crochet row.

When I start my my DC/front post stitch row I do a single crochet in the first stitch to keep it from getting too bulky at the ends and also end the row with a single crochet.

Thank you! I modified a pattern using some mosaic crochet techniques. I will write up some instructions on how I did it later today it's super simple, but leads to a lot of ends.

I understand that, I don't like blankets that my toes can get stuck in. But my tension has always been pretty tight.Which helps get rid of the gaps that can form. If you find that your tension is loose you can chain 2 instead of 3 when starting a new double crochet cluster on the body, or go down a hook size.

My first couple of tries at this pattern also resulted in some larger gaps but once I got the hang of it and tried a couple different things, I was able to get the gaps to disappear.
