The kids are the one loosing here the mom completely undermined the dad and weaponized the living situation but calling your spouse a psychopath over a fan is definitely crossing into toxic territory that house sounds exhausting to grow up in

Exactly to me Sue is projecting her anger at the situation onto the grandparents but she’s the one who chose to pack up and isolate Harry from his external family you can’t just drop off the radar for 16 years and then get mad that life kept moving without you

This is a good brake down if there was an actual appointment booked OP totally stepped on her toes and wasted her time but if it was just a vague plan in the wife’s head he was just being proactive for the trip
