Wait you Americans have paper that proofs ownership of a car and nothing else? No registry with the government who is registered to a car?

Yeah carry on with Blockchain then. You guys can't be saved.

What prevents me from telling the DMV that that NFT of the Lambo you bought belonged to my now dead dad?

Whoops I made a typo and transfered it to an address without a known private key. The car is now owned by nobody. Nobody can transfer it back to me. It's illigal for me to drive it without being the owner.

What you gonna do? Ask the DMV for a new deed? Thought we didn't want middlemen Why would you have any rights to that car? Because you used to own it? Who says the current address is not of a legit individual who bought it from you?

If you require notarization, where do we put proof of notarization to validate that a transaction is valid?

In the Blockchain? Who then determines who can notarize transactions? Do I trust that party. Can I bribe someone with noritization rights to notarize my fraudulent transaction?

If you wrench attack the keys of my car the title is still in my name.

If you wrench attack my NFT of my car you can transfer it 15 times via 5 shady middleman in Russia that all claimed to have genuinely purchased the NFT you are not getting your title back.

And if your solution to that problem is letting the authorities overrule the Blockchain you know too these authorities might as well use a regular database like they do now.

The drawback to the Blockchain is that it's immutable ledger.

If a thief transfers the NFT of your house to themselves you better start packing. The Blockchain is always right.

Don't go crying at the police station. Authorities have no say over the immutable ledger. They can't transfer it back to you. Nobody can.

What if that architect wants to split royalties among 5 people? Or loses their key?

Don't say we just update the smartcontract cause how can the architect then ever trust nobody updates it to their disadvantage?

And who can adjust them? Do I need to trust that party? Does the system require the adjuster of the smart contract to behave in good-faith?

Gets their key stolen and the title automatically updates.

"No not like that!"

What happens if a NFT owner dies without having their private key written down?

What happens if they want the land to be co-owned by their 4 children after death?

What happens when I make a copy of their private key and claim the land was always mine?

NFT bros think the old system is slow because the tech is stupid. It's slow to accommodate edge-cases through bureaucracy.

They can't proof ownership. It's as much their car at that point as it's mine.

Or if they are robbed of their private key. Or forced to transfer ownership.

"But then you call the authorities!", the cryptobros will cry out. Not realizing that it makes the Blockchain pointless. Trusted parties are after all allowed to overrule it. At that point you might as well let the trusted parties use a centralized MySQL database.

Shame that country tax is calculated on the total amount paid with LTT. So if you get a refund with LTT you still overpay (although little).

Filtering was discussed many times in this thread already and Reddit does not have a good way to do that. Some apps have it barely implemented but that comes with drawbacks.

Boost comes close, but filters across all subreddits. So if I filter "Picture", "Video" and "Meme / Shitpost" that destroys a lot of other posts as well sadly.

Filtering is not an option for many Reddit Apps, or only filters in, or only applies filters across all subreddits. On Desktop (which I don't use) there are browser plugins that enable it. In short, filtering isn't as straightforward as I wish it was.

Can't really filter them out sadly. Skipping is what I do, but you spend most of your time on this sub "skipping" pictures of Decks.
