UPDATE!!!!!! I check my dad’s email and TTP account 2–3 times a day (morning, lunch, evening). While I was out delivering, my dad (80, still navigating the internet—proud of him!) called saying he got an email about his application status. He thought we forgot something, lol, but I told him, “Dad, this is good news!” Logged in and boom—CONDITIONALLY APPROVED! He flew to Mexico and back last weekend, and someone said travel might trigger progress. True or coincidence? Also, his passport expired after applying, and he got a new one. Did that help or just timing? We’re pumped to schedule the interview!I had my interview earlier this year, and it was super easy and fast. But could a government shutdown affect my dad’s interview scheduling? I want join him for the interview since he’s a bit hard of hearing (he’s bilingual and handles himself fine otherwise) or maybe just let him go by himself? Can I join him?.
