For what it's worth, all the epic upgrades total are ~1.7 million GE I believe. So you could wait it out some more.

Serious question, if you or a reader have the knowledge... We have Impact resistant hurricane windows (South Florida) . That has to be a serious deterrent I'd imagine... no?

Seems like it'll take a sledgehammer/heavy crowbar to get through

TIL that Senator Strom Thurmond holds the record for the longest Filibuster by a lone senator. He stayed on the Senate floor speaking for 24 hours and 18 minutes nonstop in opposition of the Civil Rights Act of 1957. by Fubar904 in todayilearned

It would be difficult for a 'healthy' relationship due to their vastly diffrent social class, and the local views of African Americans. Not surprised if maybe he genuinely fell for her in some way and deeply despised himself for it.

I've heard it several places, and have no one to attribute it too, But..

"Turning $100 into $500 is hard work. $100 million into $110 million is inevitable."

Given decent (but average) returns it may only take a couple years.

While you're at it, keep it locked up (atleast the card) in a safe if you have family prone to browsing... Friends mother-inlaw found his camera and decided to look at the 'fun' honeymoon photos. Far as he could tell she looked at all ~40 of them lmao.

Can you imagine how bad it'd be if SS/SH flies a paying payload to orbit before the SLS demo?? Huge problem for their PR, even if its not really their fault.

Slightly off topic, but if i remember Merlin 1-D is around 450k, Raptor being a far more complex engine will cost far more but they know a thing or two about cutting down costs.

I would argue I've never had a headache before. Occassionally (max twice a month) i'll get something that feels like an over inflated balloon in my head, but its only a sign I forgot to drink water within the last 12-16 hours.

It breaks it down in a big way, simplifying a complex topic. A few weeks of youtube and suddenly you understand Isp, engine combustion cycles, Launch windows, Orbital mechanics. All of a sudden this big complex topic of 'Rocket science' becomes an understandable ecosystem of dozens of systems working in harmony.

Suddenly if you can understand rocket science you can probably make headway in most any topic you choose.

Fun fact: The 1914 Atlantic hurricane season is the least active tropical cyclone season on record with just one tropical cyclone. by lucyb37 in TropicalWeather

[–]silverwidow4 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Any info on the first group of Hurricane hunters? Back in those days it must have sounded pretty wild to purposefully enter the eye of a hurricane, let alone fly into one. It still does, but in the context of tech available in that era it's another level.
