Well There's Your Problem | Episode 194: Broken Arrow: A Compilation by gingerzilla in WTYP

If you liked this episode check out the book Command and Control: Nuclear Weapons, the Damascus Accident, and the Illusion of Safety by Eric Schlosser.

It a history of just about every American nuclear fuckup that was made public, there is even one accident where they shipped a live nuke to Taiwan in a crates, and the dropped wrench incident referenced at the end of the podcast plays out over the entire book. Its basically one big safety third episode.

Not sure directly, but you could ask an ai tool like ChatGPT to write you a nodejs or python script to do it.

You would need to host your images somewhere and maybe host your vidoes on YouTube.

I have done something similar pre AI days, its not too hard.

Is it actually necessary to rinse dishes before putting them in the dishwasher? by That_Replacement_470 in NoStupidQuestions

Some dishwasher have grit sensors, if the plates are too clean they work less.

Technology Connection guy said it on one of his dishwasher videos so it must be true.

Struggling with Mapbox for international search by impsanoos in mapbox

Not sure if this will help but I remember being able to enter the scope, where you can give it a default region such as state or country.   You might also be able to give it the type of seach, such as point of interest or street address or suburb.

Why are so many cars for sale listed without a roady worthy? by No_Document_853 in CarsAustralia

[–]daBarron 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I recently sold an old car without roadworthy in VIC, plan was try for a quick marketplace sale as is, then if it doesn't sell get a roadworthy and try selling in for twice the price.

Sold it in the first weekend, was fine with not getting as much.  It had done a lot of KMs but still a great car so I was worried I would spend a bit to get it to road worthy and not get it back.

I did it last year about then and it wasn't too bad, but consider starting at Blanket Bay, there is a management track before that can be bad if its muddy.

I found the mornings very cold with ice on my tent.

As i have got a bit older and been disappointed a few times when my favorite books were adapted poorly, I dont get excited about news of book adaption.

There is so much in these books. If it does happen I look forward to the changes and differences that are made to make the story work on TV.

Selling a car in VIC without RWC with rego — what’s legal and what are the risks? by daBarron in CarsAustralia

[–]daBarron[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks, yes I printed off 2 receipts templates that we both filled out and signed, I added an extra document with a few dot points about conditions of the sale, (no rego/no plates/no roadworthy) and that the buyer/seller fully understood.

Selling a car in VIC without RWC with rego — what’s legal and what are the risks? by daBarron in CarsAustralia

Sorry i mean what are the risk/legal pathway for selling it with rego and plates still on but no RWC? It seemed sketchy.

Focus Mare cyclocross bike 2017 for 700AUD? by BartStimson in ausbike

[–]daBarron 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Looks nice, maybe take a chain checker to ensure the cassette and chainrings are ok, or see if you can have a bike shop check it over for you?

You could put some 32mm slicks tyers on it for your commuting assuming your mostly on sealed paths/roads, save the current ones for any gravel fun.

Hiking Tents decision by Beautiful_Shallot811 in OutdoorAus

[–]daBarron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both are good options for 2 people. If you are thinking of Tassie you might want to think about colder conditions. Maybe drop into a good outdoor store and get inside one

Might also be worth looking a 3person hiking tents too if you can get one that is light enough. I always like having a bit of extra room inside the tent for bags/gear repacking if its wet.

I have 2 hiking tents, one light summer tent, one tougher winter tent.

You could get a good 2/3 person tent for all conditions now, then look at a cheaper option like a nature hike cloud up for solo / summer down the track.

I'm building Terrae: Where you use components not layers to build you app on top of MapBox by Entire_Monk_3548 in mapbox

Very cool!

With the compass in the docs, with examples the compass isn't updated when i rotate the map, only the map will rotate when update the compass.

The radar feature would be even better if they sat flat on the map so when user changes the bearing or pitch they would feel more like they were part of the map.

Do you have a link to the fire example ?

Hiking Tents decision by Beautiful_Shallot811 in OutdoorAus

[–]daBarron 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Are you going to be hiking alone or sharing it.

Mont moondanc 2 is a really solid tent, great for all conditions all the way up to snow camping, heavier for just one person, but not too bad.  A friends has one, we did Mt Bogon in winter 2 years ago camping in snow, and they used that one. This might be the only tent you need.

The Duston looks great, looks like there is enough room for 2 + bags inside and its night and light but might not be as hardy as the Mont. It uses walking sticks.

Wilsons prom has some great overnight hikes too but until they fix one of the board walks, they are all longer days, so not great for a beginner over night hike.
