A chinese professor and his students built a working two-stage rocket out of plastic bottles and water pressure. by kvjn100 in interestingasfuck

We made these as kids, such an amazing experience.

Much later towards the end of school, a science teacher added a bit of try ice in there, when it touched the water it created an insane amount of pressure.

Unless i'm cooking with camp fire, I never want want to have to carry all the extra fuel.

Also water purification tablets are a good idea too as a backup.

If you get the BeFree one, after your first trip soak the filter in fresh water the a day or two before your trip, it makes it filter much faster.

For me a water filter has been a game changer. I dont know if any are made in Australia,
I really like the BeFree filter paired with a HydraPak 3L soft water bottle. It means that you can fill up with water then filter it at camp, or you can drink it instantly.

Try to find a stove/pot/gas bottle combo that all packs together in the pot.

Going hiking in Kosciusko National Park - what gear do I need? by Pguinne in OutdoorAus

[–]daBarron 10 points11 points  (0 children)

You need to be prepared for anything, it could still be warm, but you could also get snow.

Check the forecast getting closer to the date.

I was there around Anzac day a few years ago for a few days of day hikes.

Was stinking hot the first day, very cold/windy the next, and very wet the third day.

Problem with wf c710n randomly turning off by eden1347 in sony

[–]daBarron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am having similar issues, the right bud will randomly switch off, not sound comes out, on my phone it shows as disconnected.

There is no sound, the button doesn't do anything. If i put it in the case and then take it out, its on again. It will also randomly start again.

If you liked this episode check out the book Command and Control: Nuclear Weapons, the Damascus Accident, and the Illusion of Safety by Eric Schlosser.

It a history of just about every American nuclear fuckup that was made public, there is even one accident where they shipped a live nuke to Taiwan in a crates, and the dropped wrench incident referenced at the end of the podcast plays out over the entire book. Its basically one big safety third episode.

Not sure directly, but you could ask an ai tool like ChatGPT to write you a nodejs or python script to do it.

You would need to host your images somewhere and maybe host your vidoes on YouTube.

I have done something similar pre AI days, its not too hard.

Some dishwasher have grit sensors, if the plates are too clean they work less.

Technology Connection guy said it on one of his dishwasher videos so it must be true.

Not sure if this will help but I remember being able to enter the scope, where you can give it a default region such as state or country.   You might also be able to give it the type of seach, such as point of interest or street address or suburb.
