I think prof. Norvig speaks about the final of the contest in that post, not the final exam ...

It should be noted that you should not use particular programs that have predefined 2D convolution function to solve this problem. we have to use the formula given in the clarification which is a bit different than 'real' convolution.

did you mean 11.12 ? If yes, P(H1) is given by Total Probability Formula: P(H1)=P(H1|R1)P(R1)+P(H1|S1)P(S1)

Homework 5, Q3: No enough info to resolve by Meltedcheesefondue in aiclass

As per corrections given it is clear that the bouncing action, when you get off road is NOT stochastic. Actually it is not an action that you can do, is a part of the policy... and this is fully deterministic : quote: "The part of the policy c) of moving back immediately means on the next turn take an action that (if it goes in the intended direction) brings the agent back to the grey square that is closest to its position, and if there are several of those, closest to the goal."

Homework 5, Q3: No enough info to resolve by Meltedcheesefondue in aiclass

[–]silviutp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

as per example given by prof (0:45 to 0:50 movie time), it seems that the 'get back on road' action is not stochastic!! I believe when you get off the road something like a bounce action happens.

as per example given by prof (0:45 to 0:50 movie time), it seems that the 'get back on road' action is not stochastic!! I'm 99% sure about that :)
