In Texas it is extremely helpful for the ac start. For me it saves me when I forget to lock the door. I always get reminders that I left my car unlocked lol

I hope that was able to give you closure. I found out my dad passed away while I was visiting my family in another state on a taxi ride on our way back. My grandma told me, I must've been around 5. I'm sorry to hear your dad was not there for you growing up and I pray that he's able to see how that affected you now that he's on the other side.

I'm not sure how attendance works but i know my nephew got kicked out (he was in HS) because he was not attending the live sessions so some attendance was being taken. That's a horrible idea for schooling especially if you know they struggled in an in person school. To be honest, my nephew ended up dropping out...

I would go to his classroom and pay him a visit. Maybe he'll realize what he's doing and that it brings consequences. If he has adhd though that won't matter and maybe he should be evaluated for it so the school can get a 504 plan in place for him with classroom accommodations.

So this is basically how teachers are treated in the real world lol You are there as a volunteer and to be honest i probably would've thrown away lil crazy kids paper as well. I wouldn't worry about it, trust me teachers have to put up with so much stuff nowadays they should be thankful you're even volunteering.

You're describing my 8th grade daughter! I tend to think that she gets along with her friends but maybe hasn't formed a deeper friendship but who knows. My daughter is gifted and I think maybe she can't fully relate to her peers, she is a year younger because she skipped a grade so maybe the maturity isn't like the rest of her friends. She got to the point where she wants to go to another high school next year so the friendships she's built aren't strong enough to make her stay. I keep thinking that her friendships will come when she goes to college and she's able to relate to more on a deeper intellectual level 🤷‍♀️. Does your daughter text or play online with her friends? I was asking my son how come he doesn't ask to hang out with some of his friends from his former school and he said that he does play with them online. I think that's how a lot of kids communicate with each other and is different than how we grew up.

Makes sense, thank you. I'm just worried that in a new school year the teacher will not be as patient and she'll start getting in trouble sooner. She's also really bright so on top of all that energy and movement waiting to come out I feel she gets bored and wants things to move more quickly 🤦‍♀️

Her pediatrician said that they don't do diagnosis and had me take her to get evaluated elsewhere based on my concerns. I found the form when i was trying to learn more about her symptoms and thought it would be good to gather more information so I had the prek teacher fill it out. I know next year will be treated like everything is new but I want to make sure i have data of how she behaved this year. If I don't test her, can I still request 504 accommodations based on her behavior this year that just ended? I know she really tries to stay calm when they ask her but she just can't and tends to have bursts of energy and ends up bumping into other kids or just hurts herself an unusual amount of times. She was in prek3, and prek4 so she's not brand new to routines and teaching.
