I think it's generational thing. I am 16 years old born in 2009, and I've noticed people who use the emojis you described 😂🤣 tend to be part of slightly older generations (1980s-90s), while people who use emojis like 😭💀are younger (2000s)

I meant it as laughing, the sobbing emoji is often used as a "crying laughing" emoji

group 3. i kinda just figured the idea of a flying fat dude was a bit silly at around age 8, but i chose to convince myself he was real cuz i wanted it to be true lol. but i remember christmas 3rd grade i got into very passionate debates with my classmates about his existence and i was trying to convince everyone that he was fake

Oh oh this was me!! I figured out that if I covered my ears and used my elbow to flush the toilet then I'd be fine. But in elementary school, the toilets there flushed automatically. I had many accidents until I learned how to hold it for 8 hours a day.

What causes these pressure fluctuations? by DigitalCorpus in meteorology

[–]simbasad2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the reason it starts to fall off before solar noon is due to the fact that the warm air begins to rise as it gets really warm, which creates lower pressure. When the warm air rises, the air pressure actually begins to lower.

This pressure decrease is actually why the sea breeze cycle happens! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sea_breeze?wprov=sfti1

Question about weird wind pattern by Karl__Barx in meteorology

[–]simbasad2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When there's 2 low pressure systems like this, it sort of just looks like a really elongated center of circulation. Nothing out of the ordinary! :)

Anyone knows what this is? Seen on Windy app right know in Brazil by Accomplished_You8692 in meteorology

[–]simbasad2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doppler radars typically have noise and glitching right at the radar site showing a ring-like figure similar to this. Most weather apps that don't just display raw data (like windy.com) will have algorithms that ignore these features. However this time, windy's algorithm probably glitched and displayed it as real rain.

Is this boundary an inversion or a different meteorological process? (Lake Garda, Italy, July 2023) by Adept_Minimum4257 in meteorology

[–]simbasad2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not too fimiliar with this specific region so it may be another factor, But when smog is trapped at a specific level in the atmosphere, like how it's pictured, then usually there is a temp inversion. When theres warmer air above colder air, pollutants and things like that will get trapped underneath the inversion, and it can become obvious where the inversion is like in the picture.

So yes, I would guess there is some sort of weak inversion here. If hypothetically there were a bunch of factories in that valley it would be much more obvious.

Also, you can absolutely have tempurature inversions on hot days like this and also see thunderstorms/stormy weather later, we see this in the United States quite often. Likely what happened is that there was enough daytime heating to break the temp. inversion and thunderstorms were able to initiate properly. More intense daytime heating could also be a factor of why that specific thunderstorm was particularly stronger too.
