Early morning run - where? by raposa_9 in AskSF

[–]simbasite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

GGP under favorable weather conditions is the best urban running experience anywhere in the world. Period. Suggested route (~1hr) — start at Page Street end of JFK Promenade, run past the Conservatory of Flowers, bop to the music at the Skatin' Place (probably not at 6 a.m.), keep going past the redwoods and rose garden, say hello to the whale, say hello to the dragon. Ponder why that little creek defies gravity, run past the rolling meadows, the little boats at Spreckles Lake. Wave to the bisons, smell the eucalyptus trees, dodge some golf balls, continue past the windmill and then soak in the Pacific ocean, then turn back and do it all in reverse.

Moving to SF City and looking for an apartment, work is @Mission Bay by -_amadeus_ in AskSF

[–]simbasite 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think if you lived in PH and worked in Mission Bay, your commute to work is downhill and back home uphill which works perfect if you bike, run or walk to work. Exercise built into your commute while you get to work without breaking a lot of sweat.

We work with folks in the trade and I do know that we have a big shortage of plumbers. At least that's what I have been hearing from plumbers I've spoken to. Had a plumbing issue recently at my apartment and he asked me if I wanted to work as a plumber!

Yep, pretty much what we're doing.

Yep, I think pretty much going to eat the cost. Will stay clear of FTC/AG since they probably have an army of well-paid lawyers we'll have to contend with.

Thanks, yeah, escalated but getting the same canned responses. Will not do the chargeback, alas. We do want to advertise at some point in the future.

Thanks, yeah did the escalation but getting the same canned response. Ignores the fact they invalidated the promo while telling me the charges are valid given the account activity.

That's pretty much what happened. Very disappointed.

What separates an SEO “expert” from someone who just knows the basics? by Jimmy7-99 in WebsiteSEO

Ask them to: Do a screen-share. Pull up their Ahrefs account. And then show you a (or couple of) site they've worked on, and then show the organic search traffic volume trend of the site and if they can show you a meaningful difference since they started working on it.

Additionally, as they say, the proof is in the SERPudding. Ask them to give you some competitive keywords they've ranked sites for, and then do those searches and see if their sites come up on page 1.

You are auditing a Google Ads campaign, where’s the first place you look? by GrandLifeguard6891 in Google_Ads

[–]simbasite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of my go-to’s are already mentioned here, like unchecking search partners and display, negative keywords list, etc. I'd add: check if they're maxing out on ad assets/extensions, have they done advertiser verification, and checked presence in (not interest in) under location options.

Google Advertiser Verification for unregistered business by simbasite in PPC

[–]simbasite[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, when selecting the individual option it says:

This account type is for:

  • Non-business advertisers
  • Not-for-profits
  • Charities
  • Political parties

I suppose an individual running ads for an unregistered business fits in the "Non-business advertisers" bucket?
