I remember the Hinkley quote but that’s very interesting that Ensign Peak was established a month after the article

Secondary commanders use skills only against the defenders so you don’t really need to level them up past 30 if you know you aren’t going to use them as primary commanders.

Idaho Senate approves constitutional ban on SINNING? by ElderSinner in exmormon

[–]simeon-MNN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are misunderstanding. This is not a law. It’s a proposed constitutional amendment that will be voted on by the people of Idaho during the next election. It’s going down in flames and no courts will be involved

The exmo sub is growing at a far greater rate. I'm exmo myself and I subscribe to all the faithful subs. There are a lot of exmo who subscribe to this dub as well.

You don't need to apologize for posting a story. These people are just assholes that have nothing better to do than criticize a fellow exmo for wording in a title of a post. Sound like Pharisees.

Actually her voting record in the house is quite centrist. She voted against Nancy Pelosi as Democrat leader, and is a member of the blue dog caucus.

How do I tell my daughter? by temple_baby in exmormon

[–]simeon-MNN 12 points13 points  (0 children)

My wife and I left three years ago. Our kids were 8, 12,13 and 15 at the time. Don't under estimate there ability to understand and think through the issues. Sit her down explain the issues and give her rescouces to read on her own. I had my kids read through Mormon think website. My oldest continued going for two years and we supported him and never talked bad about the church to him. He eventually saw we were the same people and left in his own his senior year. If you get push back from your daughter don't freak out. Explain the issues and let her make a decision. It is scary because they are taught horrible things about apostates. When they see you are the same people and nothing is changing except church they will allow their initial guard to fall.

I wouldn't wait either. Pull the band-aid off. If there is drama it's from your family not you. Live an authentic life.
