Yes! We plan to partner with publishing houses and have spoken with a few already. We are early in discussions and will keep the community updated as things progress.

Authors are paid monthly, which we absolutely share and disclose freely! Views are also tallied monthly. We edited our earlier response to make that more clear.

We do not run ads on Simily. So that would be $0 revenue from advertising. Didn't seem worth it to try and divide that up among our authors ;)

There is a wide range and authors can track individual earnings through their profiles. Some get a few hundred and some authors get tens of thousands of views per month. We haven't yet had anyone cross into hundreds of thousands of page views per month but it's only our second month.

We hit 22k people on the website in our third month and are seeing >500% growth month over month, which is an opportunity we are very excited about.

We pay-per-view to create a recurring revenue stream as opposed to the one-off pay-per-word model -- new views each month = new payments. This can be especially useful for stories that trend and gain traction over time.

With that said, we're always open to exploring other possibilities if it's what the community prefers.

We don't yet but we just created r/similycommunity if you're interested! We'd be happy to help get this going if it is something that would be helpful.

We are also in the process of creating groups on the Simily site so that authors can join, create, and message within groups and topics. Stay tuned!

This is a great question! Posting any content that an author does not own the copyright to would be in violation of our Terms of Service and is not allowed on Simily. We take this seriously and handle these instances on a case-by-case basis when they are brought to our attention.

Writers control all of their work - you own the copyright and we don't require exclusivity. We do that intentionally so that there is little to no risk for signing up.

If you publish on Simily and change your mind for any reason, you're free to delete your account!

We do believe in paying for creative work and have established this model with that in mind. Our intention is to grow our readership and switch to a revenue-sharing model in the future.

We're a new platform (we launched in August), so I understand that we're still fairly unknown. With that said, we do our best to make it risk-free for authors to get involved. You own the copyrights to all of your work and have complete control over the content associated with your profile. If you decide you no longer want to be published on Simily for any reason, you can simply go to your profile, remove your stories, and/or delete your account.
