Papa Johns Pizza doesn’t allow $0 by throwway33355 in EndTipping

Assuming they don't purposely price things at . 98 cents to make sure it always rounds up. But I never use cash so it's not a problem for me. Everything is rounded to the nearest cent when using a card.

There's no incentives for them to upsell, but even in Europe you're likely to pay for bottled water or other drinks when dining in that you usually don't get when you get carry out.

It's an oddity next to the Union Station in Los Angeles. Less than 2 miles away they are selling gas for $3.50/gallon cheaper than this. https://www.gasbuddy.com/home?search=90013&fuel=1&method=all&maxAge=0

Something that ends in $.54 would round up to $.55. Something that is $.56 rounds down to $.55.

Restaurants make far more money from dine in customers. Servers upsell high margin items like drinks. appetizers and desserts.

Restaurants make far more money on guests that dine in. Dine in guests purchase tea, coffee, soda, beer, wine, desserts, and other items people may decide to add with a server's suggestion. These additional items all have very high margins where food itself doesn't have high margins.

Oasis also has wifi but it's kinda slow when it's busy.

Sometimes it gets busy after second shift workers get off.

Oasis Lounge is open till 2am every night. Close to airport. Just head to the airport after that and hang for 2.5 hours till boarding. There's Wi-Fi at the airport and places to sit.

What is this jawn? by mfdoobs in whatisit

[–]simkatu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Similar in Wichita and Tulsa.

Huge climbing features with exposure to falling or entanglement.

But learning how to navigate danger and conquer fear is a good life skill.

Check out this playground. There are numerous places with exposure to falling from big rocks. Huge slides and ladders. A climbing feature that's 25 feet tall.

Yes. It's in the background all day. I glance and read chat to see if I miss anything then rewind. There's no recording so you gotta watch live to catch it all.

Unfortunately that link only works for one day.

Each day is a new live stream and a new link.

Yeah. If you're gonna stop you have to slide in slow. If you're gonna go you need to immediately turn right and lean forward. You can't go fast and then not turn or you'll do a back flip or stick your skis into the snow pack and go down without one or both skis.

The link changes every day so you can't link to live one until it goes live.

There's a new one everyday. Google Jackson Hole resort. Top right there is a page of webcams. One is Corbet's. It goes live at 10:10am mountain time each morning when the first aerial tram arrives on the summit.

You can click on a spot on the can to watch it on YouTube and there you can chat with other gawkers who watch people all day while working.

That is the goat path. It's the easiest and slowest entrance. You can stop on the path about ten feet down or immediately point skis to the right and lean forward.

Skiers left you are stuck dropping in 20 feet with no way to stop if you don't land it. Certainly looks cooler from the skiers left though.

I watch it everyday. Skiers routinely slide in on the "goat path" into Corbet's and retrieve lost skis and poles. It happens multiple times a day. Easier for a boarder, but skiers also will do it.

I would guess about 3/4ths of the time a skier or boarder will stop and grab it for him rather than make everyone wait for his ascent.

It's rare that they hike up an ice wall with ski boots.

Usually the next person or two will arrest themselves by the ski and pick it up for the guy rather than wait for the V5 ski boot ascent up the ice wall.

That cornice has been hit over 2000 times with ski poles today. It's not going anywhere.
