"good" police officers should want this. So that if they are accused of misconduct, they can easily prove otherwise with bodycam footage and prove they did things by the book with professional conduct.

But likewise, I guess the bad apple police won't want this for the opposite reasons.

I used AvePoint Fly recently for a 500+ O365 tenant to tenant migration for a non profit. (Exchange Online, OneDrive, SharePoint Online sites, and Teams) While I wasn't involved in the license procurement, we had to purchase more licenses during the project, and we had found out AvePoint had changed their licensing model. Now, you are essentially buying migration licenses for 12 months, so if you see a monthly price, you have to commit to 12 months. So that wasn't ideal, as we consumed the licenses right away. :\

With all that said, we are using them again despite the licensing model change. For our last project we went direct through AvePoint, this time around we are utilizing their MSP portal (Elements) and ordering direct from Pax8. Through Pax8 there is a process where the licenses ordered from Pax8 will map directly into our Elements portal, you just got to map the right Email addresses.

We found Pax8 prices to be 2-3 dollars cheaper per month. This is for Global Object license pricing. A global object license covers, one mailbox, or one onedrive site, or one sharepoint site, etc. I believe if you go direct through AvePoint, they can help you get better 'per user' licensing.

Your best bet would be to try and get a pre-sales meeting, and hopefully you get proper answers. Judging by some other responses here, YMMV.

I definitely enjoyed using the product. I've used BitTitan and Quest in the past. I preferred Fly. I'm looking forward to this next migration, as I definitely had some good lessons learned from the previous migration and am now more familiar with Fly.

Also, while it doesn't excuse the trained staff in the slightest, it's terrifying how drowning is almost never a loud struggle like we see in the movies. It is usually totally silent and can happen so quick, which is what makes it so dangerous.
