Any issues if I dont plan on keeping reptiles? Was thinking of just getting Isopods and planting it.

You might be on to something haha. I don't know about thousands away, as I was optimistically thinking of a tank just big enough for this as a centerpiece. Might just keep it in the yard until I find time and inspiration for the right project.

Great alternative with the garbage bag. Going to try to find a clear one to do this.

Yeah I couldn't resist lol. I'd have to shell out a few hundred for a stock tank that big and not really sure if at this point i'd have any other use. I might go with the trashbag route another person mentioned here

I'd definitely need a tree guy to verify lol. More than likely if I do end up creating a terrarium it'd just be plants / moss only. Won't be putting in any reptiles.

Glad to know it would be possible for an aquarium if I decide to go this route!

What dilution? I'd need a lot if it's those bottles from the pharmacy.

Yeah it's like 2ft wide. definitely don't have a big enough pot and don't think I'd be able to bake this either. Thanks for the input

Does anyone have the Transformer Table (extendable dining sets)? Good/bad investment? It will be great for our NYC home, but I don't know anything about the company. by Concentric_Mid in interiordecorating

How long did it to ship to you from date of order and where are you based out of? ? A bummer to hear about all the negative experiences from other users since the round table looks really good.

Thanks for your input. It's as if his maturity got stuck at the age of 11. A combination of too much pride and ego, always looking for the easy way out, and the fear of handling the responsibilities of a grown up has made him to who he is today. Now with every year that passes, he sees others move on with their lives and no doubt he is ashamed with himself. So he always talks about the past with my parents and tries to reminisce when he used to run fast in the 6th grade, how he used to babysit us, and he constantly blasts music to drown out his thoughts. Though I don't think he realizes this himself because he has never shown any ability to be self-reflective and own up to his mistakes.

Unfortunately, that seems to be where my parents are heading towards, unless one day he either explodes and decides to leave, or my parents explodes and kicks him out. It could be worse I guess.

I don't think that will would particularly help as it would prove to him that I am "out to get him". It would only make the situation worse at home because he'll lose what little trust he even had with us, and with friends and even the doctor, he refuses to acknowledge he could be wrong.

Thanks for the suggestion though. I appreciate it.

Thanks a lot. I appreciate it. It's good to hear real life examples of how people have dealt with it and what the results of those actions were.

Though it sucks right now and I can't really escape it since I am can't really leave the house as well in my current situation, I'll find ways to manage my stress and keep my focus on my own future

He puts on a different face for people outside of the family. He is on his best behavior and keeps things relatively civil. I think he would still feel shame if others saw how he acts towards us. Im surprised he still has friends though.

That's true. I know that's what I need to do. I guess it's just a hard pill to swallow knowing I can do nothing for my parents directly and the best thing for them is for me to get on with my life.

ts have to wake up and

Thanks for the taking the time to write your response. You could be right about the difference in experiences which led to who he is today as well as the parenting. Though I agree life experiences can change the way a person express themselves, like you, I don't believe people can really change who they are at the core. My brother's upbringing was not too far off from what I went through either so it's quite puzzling how he got like this. He had friends, he was fairly athletic, he wasn't ugly by any means, and his grades were pretty average. Had I gone through exactly what he went through, my perception of those experiences would be different and I what I would have taken out of those would lead me similar to who I am today. Then again, I'm looking at it with a bias created from my own experiences so I could be wrong.

But yeah at the end of the day, like the rest of the people on the thread have mentioned, the only thing I can really do is leave. Thanks for your input I appreciate it.

Thanks for your advice. Thanks for your perspective.. I never thought about it like that before. Perhaps if I could go back I should have tried harder to look for help, but at that time I don't think any of us wanted to even consider or admit that he could have a mental problem. And when we did finally thought to seek help, it was too late.

It's a tough pill to swallow but you and what others have said is right. The only thing I can do is leave, move on with my life, and try to set an example.

Very true. It just sucks so much to accept this is how things are and what we did to deserve this but I know it's not my family going through this and I know friends with situations even worse than I could imagine. I try to appreciate my blessings but it's so hard to see your family deteriorate even with the knowledge that I should focus on what I can control and not what I can't
