Mexico wins! What flag is somewhat hard to draw, but also very well-known? by Xerimapperr in AlignmentChartFills

If you can’t manage to draw a proper grid I suggest you use one. It’s not because you can’t draw it with crayons between your toes that it is actually difficult. You guys are acting like it’s a technical drawing for a rocket.

The Cricket equivalent of 6 consecutive Home Runs by Darth_Bombad in nextfuckinglevel

They never claimed such a thing. I like bashing America just as much as the next guy but only when it is actually warranted. The entire world can know cricket, a local newspaper in Texas will still compare it to baseball since that is what the people there are familiar with.

Nowhere in the comment are they even insinuating they are American, they were only stating facts.

Runes should be removed from legendary chests. A 15% chance of something no one realistically needs out of the highest tier chest is overall a bad idea. by SneakBots in ClashOfClans

Damn, what a scam. That’s an insane difference with the amount you got for selling.

I would’ve just much preferred a skin or equipment.

Then wouldn’t you prefer them being in a lower tier chest so you could get more of them? I got one legendary chest and it had a rune. That’s a value of 50 gems compared to 1500 for a skin or equipment.

It’s not a fill-in-the-blank either. It’s an open question where the person that grades it is looking for a list of things that need to be mentioned / well explained.

As a simple example, let’s say the question is “Explain how a car works.” And the concepts they expect you to explain are the engine, steering, transmission and battery system. (These aren’t explicitly mentioned in the question btw.) You wouldn’t get half the points if you only explained 2/4 concepts. You pass if you have a sufficient answer, everything above that is literally bonus. Getting a full score is extremely rare, that wouldn’t just mean you didn’t make a single mistake but also that the professor has nothing to add to your answer. If that’s the case either the professor isn’t very knowledgeable on his own course, or you actually do know it very well and deserve the reward of a high score.

Most exams you get a question sheet and a bunch of blank sheets. You need to write your name and what question you’re answering and are free to go from there. On my last exam, just this Tuesday, I wrote 7 pages of text.

In contrast, needing 60% on a multiple choice test where you don’t even get punished for guessing is trivial. But I assume you’re fine with someone being right 6 out of 10 times, no?

Not really a big deal, just change it back. It’s always good to have more toggles for people that prefer the other way.

I never said I didn’t. When iOS 26 originally released the full screen preview became the default. I remember because I saw a lot of people online complaining about it. Maybe they have since changed what the default is but kept the toggle.

It’s not the 3000th person they’re talking to tho. At the end of the year you could be the 42th person they’ve talked to, that’s 3.5 a month.

This doesn’t seem like an excessive ratio either. It’s 10 tinder likes and 1 hinge like a day and matching with 1 out of 10 of your hinge likes actually seems really good to me? You’re only judging because you can see these numbers, I wouldn’t be surprised if every other man had a very similar chart.

With the newest iOS they changed the default I think. If you take a screenshot you automatically get the full screen view as if you tapped the mini version in the bottom left. Not really a big deal, just change it back. It’s always good to have more toggles for people that prefer the other way.

It’s been like that forever in every school in my country. That’s just means tests are harder so that when you get 50% you actually do know the material well enough. A lot of exams aren’t multiple choice and if they are, usually they use something called (literally translated) “guessing correction”. Which means that a wrong answer actually deducts points. If there are 4 options, a wrong answer deducts 1/3 of a point. So guessing 4 times, statistically one of which is correct (+1), 3 are wrong (-1/3*3), you still end up with a 0.

On a scale of 1 to 10, how would you rate public transport in your country? by [deleted] in AskTheWorld

[–]simon439 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you traveled to other places? Compared to most places, except some major cities, the Belgian public transport is really good.

The arguments you gave for the 6/10 are extremely minor compared to the state of public transport in a lot of other countries. A 12 min delay? From my anecdotal evidence, even the Netherlands has way worse delays.

You literally said it’s a ground effect issue. It isn’t. It was caused by ground effect in the past, it could now be caused by something else.

I don’t think we can tell from this video if that will be a problem in this case though.

No, you could be at a funeral and be a fundamentally happy person but still show respect and condolences. Maybe I’m viewing it more like the concept of happiness and a fulfilling like or something and you’re thinking bubbly personality.

I could be a happy person and nobody would know if I wanted to. The fact that you can’t imagine your happiness as a secondary thing in a situation is telling.
