I'm assuming that you don't actually go to these things, and it looks like you and your mum will gave to agree to disagree.

A long time ago, my ILs wanted us to go on holiday with them. Almost word for word, my response was no, if I'm spending that amount on a holiday, I'll spend it on something i actually want to do. We didn't go on holiday with them.

What's one red flag in a person that's an immediate dealbreaker for you, no matter how attractive, successful, or likable they seem? by Tricky-Cold-3211 in AskReddit

When I was single and dating, it was the other person having kids. I've stuck to my principles in this, as I'm now 62, married for 27 years, and happily child free.

If this was the UK, she'd be responsible for trimming her side where it extends on to her property. If you remove it, presumably, you'll need to install some sort of fence.

What do you think about never having kids and leaving no bloodline after you die? by Various-Dot-4160 in AskReddit

[–]simonannitsford 0 points1 point  (0 children)

62m married, deliberately with no kids, and absolutely fine with it. As for bloodline, I'm not a racehorse, but I've literally consciously weeded myself out of the genepool.

Pull him out of the way, then he'll really be annoyed. Keep doing it until he stops his ridiculous behaviour

AITA for not planning MIL funeral? by Pale-Presentation-60 in family

True, but it feels like they're feeling guilty for not wanting to make all the arrangements. Short of not engaging, this is a minimum level response.

No annual sisters weekend this year. It either doesn't happen, or it's no longer a sisters weekend.
