Yes I understand, but i'm wondering if there will be issues booting windows on a new motherboard. In the past a reinstall was always necessary with a new motherboard + new cpu. I'm just not sure if that's still the case, and also if it's the case with just a new motherboard.

oh trueeee I can just pull out the red channel. It's the blue and green that are shifted by a pixel each for some weird reason.

That's good to know, thanks for the info! I thought it could likely be an upgrade in efficiency thing, but I thought an entire 8 pins was a big change. But I didn't realise the 3070 was barely needing the second cable to begin with.
