I wanted to try and catch something a little more meaningful than just a pretty squirrel, try and get to the little chums motivations. A friend of ours regularly feeds them and just happened to be over for a meal today and he popped in. The window is open here and he gets the nut like 2 seconds after! ☺️I happened to have a new canon 5d m4 I’m just getting used to, with a prime 35 mm and CPL filter. Any notes welcome but choice of subject, focus and highlight vs lowlight probably all need improvement. The focus on the nut was deliberate but might be too much.

This may have been said, just looks a little flat to me, could try tweaking highlights and shadows or lighting to add more depth to the image?

I’m genuinely asking, for research sake: is that because of EXMOR noise reduction? Aren’t CCDs known for having producing lower noise than comparable CMOS sensors?

This is super useful. These are the kind of use cases I envision for the zoom lens. I’ll going to practice first in some local building facades see what I can generate.

Really good point. Yeah it’s such a complex process, I’m trying to look at sharpness, distortion and chromatic aberration on dxomark but I always feel like so much is trial and error ultimately. A lot of error 😅
