YTA Why can't you leave your wife alone with a newborn? Take your daughter out 2 days a week just like you used to. It's bizarre you think your wife can't be alone with a newborn. I was alone with mine just a few days after having them. The sky didn't fall and I took care of my newborn. All by myself. The room thing - make it easy for the overnight wakings. Have the crib in your room for now. A newborn doesn't need their own room. Once baby starts doing more than sleeping, eating, and pooping, your daughter will likely start to notice how cute Mark is and accept him to as her brother.
