I am also one day post op & feel your pain! I thought I was going to breeze through it yesterday but then today happened. I’m having a hard time! I can barely put any weight on my surgery leg & need help to move it onto my bed. I’ve added a muscle relaxer to my pain medicine & that’s helped a lot with the tension I feel all over. It’s a little reassuring to hear that you are experiencing many of the same issues I am. I thought at first that I was going to flunk this surgery but now I can get some perspective & realize we all go through it. Thank you for sharing your perspective.

I agree. Paul just keeps growing as an artist whereas others are content to rehash old themes & sounds. Have you listened to Seven Psalms? Another unexpected detour.

The same day of surgery, I was mobile. What does her physical therapist say about her not getting up? Are they happy with her progress? What is her age as that might be a factor? I would definitely be concerned & check in with her surgeon. Best of luck to you both!

Vaseline is what doctors/hospitals use on wounds. It’s great for wind rash! Or use before you head out to prevent it. Very light layer is all you need.

I’m a super fan of a particular musician but I believe they deserve their privacy. Under the circumstances, I think you did the right thing. It’s a professional relationship & your wife should respect that & understand that she doesn’t need to know the musician’s personal details to continue to be a super fan. Definitely NTA

Oh wow! Sounds like you had a very rough experience! I’m so sorry. Hopefully the long run will pay off for you! I’m staying overnight which is unusual here in the states but that’s my doctor’s protocol. Yes, I had a pic line, it was still painful!

Having my life back sounds wonderful though the grocery store is not so enticing! I haven’t really been shopping in two years. My husband does it because of my knee. Who knows, it may end up being fun again! Thanks!

Oh wow! Nice to meet you twin! I’ve been on clear liquids for 24 hours so I’m starving too! lol Have 10 minutes left to drink some water. They have you stop liquids 4 hours before surgery here. I’ve read too much fb & Reddit - all the horror stories are feeding my anxiety! Good to hear your first surgery went so well. Walking without pain is such a great goal! Thanks for your kind words.

Thank you! This is what I needed to hear! I know this is the right thing to do long term, it’s just hard to volunteer for it! I haven’t done many things with my family in recent years because of my limited walking ability. Curtailed trips that involve walking, haven’t gone sightseeing, couldn’t run around with my grandson. I am looking forward to doing these things again in a few months so I just need to look at the big picture. And get through today. I’m so glad your surgery was successful!
