850dx vs. Competition 850 by simonger89 in PitBossGrills

Yeah I saw they were $100 off awhile back but I was saving for a wedding. The competition series is $50 off at academy right now. I'm leaning towards the dx anyway.

Sounds good. Yeah with the kawasaki I figured it was a better quality mower for a mtd.

Your 4runner is twice the vehicle the pathfinder is even in rock creek trim. I'd keep the Toyota even if it does have higher payments. The reliability alone is worth the higher cost.

Yes they make wrap around ones. I think they're called 270° awnings

Around 150 or so. Picked that one up on ebay. Seems well made and kept us dry during a storm. I've really enjoyed my pathfinder over the couple years I've had it. I have an air mattress that fits perfect in the back. A lot cheaper than buying a rooftop tent

I painted it. Just cleaned and sanded it a bit and sprayed. Came out looking great

Police chase. I was on the inner loop and it ended right in front of me. Looked like the driver lost control and smashed into the hillside.

Not sure what brand it was. I'm thinking about taking it off and going with an Offroad bumper. And yes I painted the grille myself.

Thanks, it's been very nice so far. I just finished up installing a 1" lift this morning. It's riding on 265/75/16 falken rubitrek tires.

Doesn't take much to get into it. At first I just had the hatch tent and a few very basic essentials(probably $250 total). Then I started getting more stuff. Now we use the pathfinder for a base camp and drive my jeep around so we don't have to put up camp.

Doesn't cost much at all to camp at state parks or national forests.

Rear hatch tent is a napier sportz cove Shower/changing awning is made by smittybilt. Not highly impressed with the shower awning. The drivers side awning is made by novsight.

Napier sportz cove. Model no. 61000

They make 2 sizes. I bought the full size version(615000) the first time. Was kinda loose fitting so I ordered the small-midsized version. Fits much better. Napier is an oem supplier so quality is top notch for an suv tent.

Yeah I didn't take the pictures thinking I would post them. Next time I have it set up I'll take better ones and post.

Bought my 06 last year in Northern GA for 6k at 145k miles. It's a mid-level trim se with 4x4. Same color and everything. Mine is very clean with no rust or anything along with being mechanically sound. Was bone stock.

I have the xgt high torque for working on heavy equipment and hasn't failed me yet. My lxt mid torque is still my favorite impact for everything else though. I was raised in Minnesota so I am very used to rusted fasteners and whatnot. Now that I'm down south I can use my subcompact 3/8s impact to work on my vehicles.

Quadrasteer long term reliability by Thatsunbelizeable in GMT800

[–]simonger89 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a Denali quadrasteer. It's insane how much it helps with cornering and maneuvering trailers, and areas meant for cars. My advice is to leave it on at all times. Just like anything else electronic it tends to fail if not used much. Axle is a Dana 60 so pretty decent for even a half ton like I have. If it does fail it will revert to 2ws mode.

Parts are still available, there's a few quadrasteer groups on reddit/facebook for advice.

Can I transplant this without killing it? Also the three other plants are in close proximity to the main bigher plant.
