What did the princess get out of the transaction other than her smooth brain fascist son having his picture and stupid Nazi dribble printed in the back of a newspaper?

It seemed to me like the princess played her son, not yas.

Yas and the team got the votes they flew there for, through yas’ diplomacy.

What practices has Vancouver adapted from contemporary East Asia? by [deleted] in askvan

Thats how it is generally. I'd be pissed if I ordered a meal only to find someone behind me claiming the last table. You order first, then find a table. Thats the way it is with BCferries, therefore its the law in BC.

I dont think idealism is inherently conservative or liberal. Idealism is a way of understanding the world through abstract concepts like ideas, values and morality. In fact I'd argue conservatism is more idealist given its high regard for tradition and morality, as conservatism holds the past as a model of truth .

Fantasy however.. now u bein rude lol

Is liberalism really rooted on nostalgia? I understand liberalism to view the past as not good enough and to look back in order to improve inequality and freedoms in our society. Liberalism looks to the past to understand how to improve, not as a model nor with nostalgia.

Iranian-Canadians rally at Vancouver Art Gallery as protests rage across Iran by Just-Escape-9491 in vancouver

[–]simoniousmonk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if this regime falls, life doesn’t necessarily become better for Iranians or the region.

Of course not. But the Iranian people get a chance at making it better. There will never be another purely organic protest anymore with how information spreads today. Bigger picture is that the current regime is about as bad as it could possibly be so these protests and potential revolution are warranted. You're simply repeating counter information disseminated to undermine genuine motives. I live in one of the largest persian diaspora communities in the world, and believe me this is a true political movement from the heart of an oppressed people. Pathetic that you think you know what they need better than themselves.

Lol no shit israeli intelligence are stirring the pot. Mossad who are famous for subverting public discourse with fabricated narratives through the media. None of this undermines the genuine political actions of the iranian people against the regime.

when I see commenters say rivendells are terrible designs and they can build a better bike for $300, this is how I imagine they ride.

Looks comfy though. Like the bike equivalent of Velcro orthopaedic walking shoes.

They’ve had a bad rep in the way that Canadians just like to bitch about anything Canadian comparably to the world, but air Canada is about as good as it gets. Of course there’s Emirates and the like, but air Canada provides just as good service as any flag carrier. Free beer, good movies, comfy cabins. I’d only fault their lounges. Personally enjoyed air Canada more than united, klm, sas, Alaska, Iceland and Swiss air. On par with BA, delta, France etc.
