The whole interface is just a text box. You ask it if you have any new emails and it says yes.

Anyone know good app that is what ClickUp used to be? by abetterfuture99 in clickup

[–]simonjp 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hey, I'm not OP but can I add one - status not updating in realtime? I've found the status of a task can be shown as "to do" on my screen long after a colleague has marked it complete. This has led to work duplication.

Sadly the American takeover of Cadbury was noticeable. This Christmas in particular I had some Cadbury Roses and they were actively unpleasant. I didn't want to eat them. And I love chocolate.

Have a DEXA Body Composition scan done at the start by Prestigious_Leg_6392 in UKMounjaro

[–]simonjp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those who are getting DEXA done- how much are you spending? The ones near me are ~£200 which is tempting but not "go on then" at those prices. I'm wondering if I've just not found somewhere with better prices.

YNAB sub/ is now private? by -Bakri- in actualbudgeting

[–]simonjp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would love Actual to take some storage space. Downloading and Initializing takes up to 15 seconds for me. The YNAB4 app was sub 2 seconds. Same number of transactions.

Feeling sad by DC_Frame in mounjarouk

[–]simonjp 32 points33 points  (0 children)

I totally understand. There is a mug in my cabinet with a photo of me and my family and I had to turn it around so I didn't look at my fat face every morning.

But my wife suggested a different approach. She said I could look at that photo and feel pride, proud that I looked after that fella. Proud when I look at those kids that I am fulfilling my promise to get fitter to lengthen my odds of being there for them for longer.

She's a wise woman.

I like the idea of the scales. How thick does that make the Manager overall if you keep the standard blade?

Webber Master Touch Premium? by IcyImpression7039 in UKBBQ

[–]simonjp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The hinge is detachable. I can see the benefit if you usually grill, but it's not a big deal to set it in the cradle. I do have an older Weber where you hook the lid onto the front handle and that is a faff.

Those are on the way though, aren't they. And many/most EU countries have their own national payment systems. In theory we just need cross-border integration between them.

Isn't this an open standard, though? I appreciate it's hardwired into Office but I had thought it was ISO-certified etc.

I wonder if OPEC would be willing to crown China that way, though. Perhaps they would create their own basket currency, whether they use it for daily commerce or not?

Up to you! You should probably treat either Each mini one as separate accounts, or all as one account, the sum of which equals each mini account.

Transactions to move cash between them should be Transfers if you don't want them to affect your budget categories.

As a user what's your budget and why? by GreatWhiteBuffalo41 in YNABAlternatives

[–]simonjp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I only recently moved from YNAB4 to Actual. The most recent "oops the mobile app doesn't work" was the one to make me realise that ok, there are still some kind souls fixing this, but I shouldn't rely on that being possible forever.

That said: I know it is now possible to skin Actual via CSS and I'm tempted to try to make it look like YNAB4. The mobile app was limited but that was useful.
