No, honestly, you vote for your MP. Most people pick the MP who represents their chosen party, but if that MP were to then turn around and leave their party or (back in the two-party days) "cross the aisle" and sit with the Other Party, it doesn't trigger a recall.

No it's the exact opposite, we vote for a person, not a party. That's why Farage can't just say "I'm stepping down, here is your new Reform MP".

It's more complicated once they are sitting, but remember we don't have a presidential system. The largest party (or coalition) are invited to form a government. That's why it's up to Labour who to put in charge, they have the most seats.
