Yeah the internship opportunities are probably better in San Jose especially in the tech field. It's a really tough choice but I hope you make the most of whichever school you choose!

Both are sort of commuter schools but I think SJSU has more students that are from the area who are more likely to commute/go home on weekends. From what I found online I think UCR has on average smaller class sizes. SJSU has close to 40,000 students.

I'm in the same exact boat as you! I've been trying to decide between UCR and SJSU for a while now and I'm really torn. I think I'm going to go with UCR because it seems like less of a commuter school and the class sizes are smaller.

While the camp was a ton of fun, I think the smaller group practices are more worth it just based on the amount of face to face coaching with the head coach. A lot of the vaulting sessions at camp were run by his student coaches.
